Let’s Play Football!

Day 1,348, 08:19 Published in Slovakia Slovakia by KacmiDO

Imagine:

You are a football player. A part of a team. You enjoy playing this game because football is an awesome social game with lots of players, teams, environments. But it has its rules and they should be sacred. The keepers of these rules are the referees. The men in black.

Imagine:

You are a football player playing a game within a well trained and good organized football team. Your team becomes successful. It becomes strong. And you are enjoying the game because you are able to achieve victory with common effort. In coordination, hard and honest effort with other players.

Now you are playing against another team. You’re winning. Because you are better. Stronger. Well organized. And keeping the rules.

However the other team doesn’t want to accept its defeat. It has two players which are extremely rich. And these two players decide to change the rules. With bribing the referees.

The game suddenly changes. Not because the other team becomes better but because it becomes tolerated. They foul the players of the first team – without penalty. They play with hands – without penalty. They shoot goals from offside – without penalty. The first team shoots goals too, but they are not recognized.

It still becomes more obvious that the referees favour those who are willing to pay them (better). They should be the guardians of neutrality and fair match, instead of that they enjoy filling their pockets.

And so the game changes. It becomes full of bitterness of those ones betrayed. It becomes a playground for those who pay more, who bribe the referees with a bigger purse. It becomes a farce.

Do you see the allegory and the symbolism? You do? Then you know what I’m speaking about. “You Know Who” I’m speaking about. Don’t speak loud Voldemorts name. He’ll catch you.
