Interview with the chief of Indohungarian's Alliance

How was the IHA founded? In the first days what goals did motivate the group and what kind of army was the IHA? Who has founded it in the first place?

Our early history and the history of our founder, kraius closely interweave. Kraius's intention was to gather the Hungarian citizens, who moved to Indonesia into one pack. In this troubled times, Hungary had only two regions, without a High region and it was pretty hard to live there, especially for the younglings. Almost 1000 people has moved to Indonesia from Hungary, and kraius was one of them. At first, kraius became a party president of the Hungarian party in Indonesia, but the number of the group members grown so fast that it endangered the Indonesian jurisdicton (with TO Danger). After then some people of high diplomatic level has drawn kraius's attention, he convinced the party members to leave the party and founded the IHA, or in full name: Indo-HUngarians' Alliance.
The birthdate of IHA is 03/04/2009, but our officiall chatroom on Mibbit (#indohunorg) has been registered on 28/03/2009. This day is what we call our birthday. On the first day the number of the members has grown to ~400, thanks to the activity of kraius, and most of them are on the friendlist of our organization. The grand part of the members was greenhorn, with low strength, who has traveled to Indonesia to improve the iron production and to earn higher salary. From this ~400 about 130 player had higher activity, and they were divided into 9 different groups (platoons). At this time, kraius mentioned in his newspaper that our goal is to reach 10k damage in one battle, what we reached soon without weapons. This newspaper was the Vitriol. Everybody who is interested in our most detailed history, should read it, and it has been written in a very entertaining style. (Its enjoyable only for those who can speak Hungarian.) Of course our military goals were the same as our great ally, Indonesia's.


In which battles did the IHA fight?

The IHA has begun his armed-activity during the time of the Great Romanian Empire. When the Romanian army has targeted the Indonesian high iron region, Karnataka, to crown their invasion in Asia, the IHA prepared their first, fully self-organized attack, in the last region before Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh. Because of a system-bug the way for the Romanian army to Karnataka leaded only via this region, and, as the legend says, the IHA was, who achived victory for the PEACE armies. According to the legend, the defenders did exactly that more damage-points than the attacker, as much as the IHA was capable at that time. (Don't think too much, it was only about 3k damage). After this battle the Great Romanian Empire has lost its momemntum in Asia, and this event has been crowned finally in the battle of WSR. The originally Russian region has been in Romanian hands, but the armies of PEACE in close co-operation with the Indonesian attack have conquered it in a sudden death match, overtime. The battle was unique in the history of eRepublik because the admin made 220k damage to the defenders' side, referring to correction.
After the triumph of WSR the enthusiam rapidly faded. It was clear that PEACE had no idea what to do with the victory. Day after day many people, including kraius, have left the IHA. It remained for the new leadership, to keep the unity and the members together. The best chance to d this was on the Hungarian front, because Hungary (contrary to Indonesia) was always in a battle for the re- and newly-taken territories. That was why the IHA has concluded to send a unit to Ural region, to help the Hungarian army from there. At this time the IHA stationed on 2 different fronts. We helped in Hungary, and we also fought the training wars in Indonesia, waiting for some serious action. And then it happened. We fought in Dnipro on the side of the Hungarian army, than we helped our Turkish allies. In these times Turkey controlled Central Greece region. The Greek army - most likely with American help - made an attempt to get back their original territory, and sadly they managed to do it. But it was here where the IHA first showed its new power. Even the leaders were surprised, at how well-organized and efficient was the "corps". The IHA did 20,306 damage at the battle of Central Greece. (Now the IHA with adequate support could hit more (Or much more...) than 100k damage, what we have shown last time at the battle of Helliongiang. After these battles we fought many-many times at Cuyo, the most popular battlefield, and also our other group has supported Hungary at the European fronts. And then came the preparations for the North-American campaign. Between these battles we also fought in some travel-fight-travel back battles, what we call only "MISSIONS". For example: Italy, Latvia... Not the game was the best for us in these missions, it was the moral which was important.
And finally the campaign of North America begun, and we fought in almost every battle:
Nova Scotia, Alaska, Washington, Quebec, Saskatchewan, European bypass Aquitania on the French side versus Spain, then Utah, Hawaii (on Indonesia's side), then California, Kansas, bypass again to Europe with the Ukranians against Romania in Northern Bassarabia, then back to the USA: Minnesota, New Mexiko, Oklahoma (it was here where the first IHA soldier was promoted to FM), Arkansas, North Carolina, then Asturias - supporting France again, and back to the USA: Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, New York, Balearic Island (French bypass), New Jersey, New Hempshire, Massachusetts, Alabama, Texas and each of this back again when USA was making his re-conquest. Now we try to be there in every important battle of Phoenix and Indonesia, too.


How did the the number of the IHA members change from the first days to this day? How strong were the members at the beginning?

At the day of the Foundation, there was more than 400 members in IHA. A minor part of us were ordered into platoons. When kraius left us, l.skywalker assumed leadership, whose primary goal was holding the gang together, so he interviewed every IHA member via a questionnaire. The staff number has fallen from 307 to 164 after this questionnaire. But this number did not change for a long time. After some banhammer action, another questionnaire, and long, boring battle-free days many soldiers left us again, and now the IHA's full staff number is 68, but its always changing.
At the moment, 90% of the members are FMs and our average strength is 19.02.


Did the old members stay? And are there any newcomers?

So many old members has left the game, and also many got back to Hungary, after that Hungary was crowned as a new super power. Many eCelebrities were/are among us.

There was a more or less known, but useful IHA member called b_bendeguz who was a spy in the Romanian army with a new character after he got banned from the game with his original character.

And finally our greatest star: tibix98

From the Indonesian side we have a close relationship with puppetmaster (aka voxyus, aka nxs_02) and many people from the Indonesian goverments from the last 3-4 months.


In what composition does the company function? Where do you get the weapons and other things what is needed for the IHA?

At first, the IHA had 9 platoons, about 130 soldiers within. The platoons had almost the same power, so it was a random arrangement.
Each member wears a personalized IHA avatar and we're fighting absolutely together in battles. Kraius had a dream about creating a pure female platoon within the IHA, but sadly it has not happened yet. Our characteristic blue avatars were recognizable to anyone. Weeks before the foundation of the RMA (what was founded during rlazol's presidency, I think) we made ourself a mobile unit. It was necessary because the battles in Cuyo were very boring. This unit was on the move every day. Central Greece RW, Dnipro... As time went by, our staff number has fallen, as I said earlier, and we were under pressure to re-build the structure of our squads. Now we have 4 different platoons. The members are divided by strength and activity. We have a separate group for the 2-Clickers, for the hyperactives...etc. We have a good relationship with the Indonesian national defense and also with the Hungarian, so we have many chances to fight in battles with high importance. Earlier there was a proposal to make IHA part of a regular army within the PEACE. First we asked the Hungarians, but the president from that time, Shaok declined our access application. Lead by an idea we turned to the Indonesian government, who accepted our petition on 27/08/2009. We were the first non-original nationality unit within another national army.
About the funding. We receive funds each month from the Indonesian ABeRI and we have some factories where our members can work. Not all of them, only the more active ones. Sadly, after the fall of Karnataka we lost many of these factories, but we always try to do the best for our soldiers.
We want to prepare very well for the incoming V2.


Were there Indonesian members in the IHA? What kind of relationship has the IHA with the Indonesians?

Sadly the IHA never had any Indonesian members, although we always wanted to create a full Indonesian platoon within the IHA. Only puppetmaster was in our bond, but not for a long time. We still support him sometimes and he is helping us in Indonesian platforms.


What kind of new members would the IHA want to see? If anybody wants to join, what should he/she do?

We never held a joining-application in check - this is one of our real opwers. We can communicate in English very well and if its needed we have a member who can speek Indonesian (bahasa)
