If all glittered, we would seek not gold

"There was a time I used to look in my fathers eyes, in a happy home... I hear the songs from the places where I was born" - Swedish House Mafia.

Having started with a light sense, I'd like to return to my old intellectual haunts of writing articles. For this purpose, I'm giving you a translation of one of Iqbal's poems, a verse:

"Though the terror of the sea gives to none security,
in the secret of the shell,
self-preserving we may dwell"

It serves as a perfect euphanism for the time being, for many things. Both good and bad, both past and present and most importantly, that which we only know is in our heart of hearts; the hearts of men. I'd like to add in a quote from a Chinese philospher here about how men ought to be supple, but I think that would be too deep for the demographic I'm going for. That said, I'll leave a hyper link
to my last article.

One of the great things I have enjoyed in eRepublik is perhaps the unnamed module: the social module. That and politics. I have always neglected the obvious aspects of this game though: the economy and war. For I feel they are boring, they are not the area which sets the heart to beat faster. I allowed my political, come social, adversaries to take the battlefield and the economy; in due course, as I knew, they would try to taunt me with their shiny silvers and gold. To get a "one up". I didn't mind because I found dominating something completely makes things boring; my opponent's defeats in one module and their triumph in another always gave them something to play for. And most crucially, it meant giving Pakistan an all-round competitive edge, people weren't shepherded in one direction. I've been a big fan of pluralism.

So the niceties and thoughts to one side, I'd like to clear up a few things regarding:

Firstly, aoval is in no way associated with PRF. The buck stops there. He was one of the reasons the party was created in the first place, among other reasons I shall delve into.

Secondly, PRF has always been about welcoming players of all RL nationalities to Pakistan, including Dioists. It was after all myself that eased in McFarland's Exodus to Pakistan and lobbied for them to be allowed entry. Many times in the past, we've spared voters to help VA survive PTO and the attempts of take over by others. Bozli can attest to this.

Thirdly, I have no relation to gripes about who controls the State Bank and that sort of affair. I settled that the last time I came out of hiatus and I'm in no mood to go over things already gone over. That which I do have a problem is the fact the Constitution isn't being followed; thus, we're left to shitters politically and damaging infighting.

I don't agree with all that Ahsan does and I have quarrelled with him in the past, extensively, I may add. But I do know he stands for what is right, perhaps the means to an end may produce a splintering between us now and again, but the end we both want to achieve is the same.

I'll jump to a conclusion because I don't have much of a pulse for this game anymore. The infighting Jakal (i.e., DPP since he pulls the purse strings) and others (dodial, Ahsan, etc) have is causing fun to dissapate from this community. Nobody's simply having fun no more and our energies are invested in making our little sub-groups stronger, rather than the community as a whole.

Once we start seeing past petty disputes for the good of the whole, then, and only then, can we truly enjoy these Republican Pixels. Live and let live. Politics is a rotating game and we're stuck on a turning of the wheel long since past. Make anew. We have all done good and bad, and as I shall leave with a quote from the great Imam Rumi:

"A nation ceases to exist when it fails to distinguish between right and wrong".
