A wild walrus appears...

Hi there Japan!

So nice to be back in this game, I have actually missed it.

Why would an old player like me come back? Well mainly because I was asked to come back by my best old friend from this game. I will do my share to invigorate the Japanese community by being active!

Below is my history in Erepublik, some might find it tedious and boring, but maybe someone will read it. I don't want to be stuck in the old, but I thought it might be interesting to some.

Who am I?

I Lauri Mursu, was born in eWorld day 308, so I have seen my share of "the old action" in this game.

I was born in eNorway, which during that time occupied Finland’s regions. The first steps in the game were not easy and as I didn’t activate in using irc or forums at the start, I lost interest in the game, but continued to feed my citizen in case I would return. The citizen didn’t die and somehow I found the interest again, thus starting the game for real.

Before I really made any name to myself in eFinland, I joined Liberal Advancement Party (LEP) in Finland and got elected to Finnish congress. At next presidential elections a donkey (Simppa) won presidency just because he wasn’t from LEP, and a big group of Finland’s experienced politicians decided it was time to leave the country for some time. I was somehow accepted to join them, big thanks to Lavanche for dragging me along. We moved to Japan around April 2009. In Japan we faced a lot of hatred as we were seen as a hostile PTO-group and most of the players who moved here left during next few months.

I however didn’t give up, and instead build a lot of connections there and was in the congress for 5 consecutive terms. During and after those terms, I was taken into the Japanese cabinet first as vice-SECDEF, then as MoFA. I served altogether for 7 months in the cabinet; mainly as as the Japanese MoFA (3 and half terms) and Vice President (1 and half terms). I was also the Japanese advisory representative in Sol, and advisor representative and representative emeritus in PEACE. After this I served as a PEACEkeeper around the world.

In December 2009 ran as the president of Japan, but lost the election to Dokomo. After this the political scene became way overheated in Japan and I decided it was time for me to seek new adventures elsewhere. I resigned from my position as MoFA and moved back to my original home, eFinland. Gladly I was quickly accepted again and got a position as the MoF in Stogis’s cabinet. I served as MoF for two terms and after than I was one of two MoFA’s of Finland. I also toured the battlefield’s around the world with the Finnish army troops, first as a member of NTJ and later PPr.

In a nutshell: What have I done in eRepublik so far?

- 1x Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland
- 2x Minister of Finance of Finland
- 3x congressman of Finland

- 1.5x Vice President of Japan
- 3.5x Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan
- 1x Minister of Finance of Japan (Economic Board Chairman)
- 1x Vice-SECDEF of Japan
- 5x congressman of Japan
- eJapanese ambassador to Finland
- ex-Party President (LEP, TFC)

- Field Marshall (back at the time)
- ex- PPr soldier
- ex- NTJ soldier
- ex- JIA soldier
- ex- PEACEkeeper
