Gold versus Cash

Last competition gave us a bumper Gold reward of 100 gold units. I already had enough gold to help me comfortably buy a training contract whenever it was available. And I don't intend to purchase companies considering how useless they are.
So.. what would you recommend? Turn all the gold into cash units or keep the gold for some random unique upgrade later in time?
What else can I do with my excess Gold? If you're going to say "Give it to me", then I might just have to stalk you and stab you at your most vulnerable.

honestly speaking mate, i've no idea what to do with the excess gold myself 😐
Seriously. Ages ago, when our eGov was functional, Gold donations were so helpful and used carefully. Now we have gold but nothing to do with it.
ya, most of the old guard have left 🙁
Fight more and spend it on buying weapons.
I guess this is the advice I think would match my preference.
