The National Guard is an eRepublik military unit and a branch of the eUS Military

The action of joining a military unit on eRepublik itself. It will give some insights of who are its current members, like: the Commander, the Regiment Captain, how many regiments the military unit have and who are the citizens on each regiment. But joining a branch of the eUS military is a different story.

For example, when a citizen becomes member of the US Army military unit all citizen efforts as damage influence gets accounted for that unit.

Each eUS military branch have their own selection requirements but at the end we are encouraged to join the eUS Military, with the advantage that a citizen can join at any level, to the core military unit of all branches: eUS Military to collectively gather all damage influence per citizen for the whole team, rather than the individual branch.


In addition to that, senior eRepublik citizens created the eUSA Military Forum where a hierarchy is described per branch, and orders are privately disclosed for members on a central topic that is constantly updated.

The main reason why Military Units, Political Parties and Governments utilize forums and IRC channels is to establish a private area that promotes their internal strategy.
