eNL, another leaf on the tree.

Day 1,492, 13:05 Published in Netherlands United Kingdom by Bernard Hoffington

The last few weeks within congress has seen very little activity. This can either be blamed on the fact that we are nearing Christmas and activity drops or the congress just doesn't have many ideas to present.

The previous government of Luuklag, working closely with his minister of foreign affairs; Joep O, now country president had worked hard to build ties with the alliance EDEN and now, no more than a month later Joep O has managed to secure the deal and eNetherlands has been accepted as a trial member.

What does this mean? This means that the eNetherlands will be under trial, they will be judged on the amount of effort they put into assisting current EDEN members and whether they are good enough to be accepted as a full member of EDEN. So time will only tell.

But it has been mentioned that the eNetherlands has many advantages, being very central in Europe it has access to many borders.

Meanwhile in congress, there have been few debates. One of the most important is that of the creation of a 'Military Council'.
This council, supported by Luuklag, Auggustus and Garmr is a structure set in place to outcast any political involvement.
A single head of military will be put in place as well as a series of other positions that will remain through congress and government changes.
This is to ensure that goals and opinions within the military stay the same and do not change when a new government is put in place.

Midway the debate, Markus Bell, current chairman of congress created a vote to add the 'Military Council' to the lawbook.
The vote was created hastily and and received 12 no votes.
The debate continued, trying to come to a conclusion of the positions as well as how it would be implemented into the country, whether it would be in the law books or not.

This month has also seen the introduction of quality 6 factories.
Congress was quick to debate regarding the upgrading of the state companies that supply troops within the state military units. An emergency procedure vote was created by ElGorro, current minister of defense and the vote concluded with 100% votes for yes, 15 in total.

Although this vote has been accepted, having limited time to arrange the money may mean that this may not happen. But with the go ahead this may be done in the future if upgrading to quality 6 is made a permanent feature.
