eJapan Chrysanthemum Cup - Semifinals & Empress Day - April 2017 (Results)

Day 3,440, 13:18 Published in Japan Russia by shirosakura

Welcome to the Inaugural eJapan Chrysanthemum Cup!

The first in many initiatives sponsored by the SOS Brigade and inspired by recent events in a certain shounen anime, the Chrysanthemum cup is a new contest among champions in eJapan. For nearly eight years, eJapan and the rest of the world has participated in a monthly contest to crown our nation's Empress. The ceremonial title was created to bring together the community and to honor the women that we revere from within the community. The Chrysanthemum Cup will be the first time that the Empresses of our nation are placed in a special election of their own.

The semifinals arrive! And with them, our tournament rolls into its final stages. The bracket is too large for a full breakdown, but you can check it out on the tournament page here for the updates!

The semifinals will feature four contestants:

From this point forward, I will try my best to update the bracket every three days, so make sure you Vote for your favorite Empress here! And may the best one win!

April's Empress Day have been decided! Our winner is:

Tanya von Degurechaff from Youjo Senki: Saga of Tanya the Evil by eJapan's own Kitarou!

Originally a salaryman who died in an accident in 2013, he was reborn as a girl living in an alternate universe version of Europe during World War I.
At just nine years of age, Tanya enters the Empire's Mages Division and is promoted to Second Lieutenant. Her talents, efficiency, and ruthlessness makes her an asset for the Empire and a threat on the battlefield. She graduated from the War College as one of the twelve knights and was granted the title of von. Moreover, she leads her own newly-formed Wing Battalion named Imperial Army 203rd Air Mage Battalion known as V601.

Our Royal Ambassador is...

Haruka Amami from The iDOLM@STER by eHungary citizen Vadaskertbenvok

Haruka Amami, at the age of 16, is a very cheerful and hard-working girl who loves to sing. She's also known to be the main heroine of the iDOLM@STER games.

Due to her nature, she can quite easily get along with almost anybody, hence the reason why Takagi calls her "a normal girl". She is also a very clumsy girl who frequently trips and falls, but despite her clumsiness she loves to dance and participate in sports events.

Haruka also loves making sweets, which is one of her main hobbies. She especially loves to make cakes and cookies and bring them to the office with her and share them with the staff. On her days off Haruka loves to research new recipes or go to the local bakery to buy cakes and then try to make the same kind herself.

Her family consists of herself, her father, and her mother. The Amamis are a very cheerful family, and value the importance of spending time together. Because her house is in a provincial city far away from downtown, Haruka has to take the morning's first train whenever she goes to work in Tokyo

Thank you to everyone who participated! I hope that we're able to have a wonderful conference next month.
