eJapan Chrysanthemum Cup - Quarterfinals & Empress Day - April 2017 (Voting)

Day 3,434, 11:27 Published in Japan Russia by shirosakura

Welcome to the Inaugural eJapan Chrysanthemum Cup!

The first in many initiatives sponsored by the SOS Brigade and inspired by recent events in a certain shounen anime, the Chrysanthemum cup is a new contest among champions in eJapan. For nearly eight years, eJapan and the rest of the world has participated in a monthly contest to crown our nation's Empress. The ceremonial title was created to bring together the community and to honor the women that we revere from within the community. The Chrysanthemum Cup will be the first time that the Empresses of our nation are placed in a special election of their own.

The quarterfinals arrive! And with them, our tournament rolls into its final stages. The bracket is too large for a full breakdown, but you can check it out on the tournament page here for the updates!

Round 4 will feature all of the contestants who advanced from last round.

From this point forward, I will try my best to update the bracket every three days, so make sure you Vote for your favorite Empress here! And may the best one win!

Our contestants for April's Empress Day have been decided! Our first is:

Tanya von Degurechaff from Youjo Senki: Saga of Tanya the Evil by eJapan's own Kitarou!

Originally a salaryman who died in an accident in 2013, he was reborn as a girl living in an alternate universe version of Europe during World War I.
At just nine years of age, Tanya enters the Empire's Mages Division and is promoted to Second Lieutenant. Her talents, efficiency, and ruthlessness makes her an asset for the Empire and a threat on the battlefield. She graduated from the War College as one of the twelve knights and was granted the title of von. Moreover, she leads her own newly-formed Wing Battalion named Imperial Army 203rd Air Mage Battalion known as V601.

Next is:

Megumin from Konosuba! Give Blessings on This Wonderful World! by another eJapan favorite sto kila bazuki

An arch wizard who is descended from crimson demons; powerful humanoids who possess black hair and red eyes, and sport chūnibyō characteristics. Megumin only knows a single skill, the incredibly powerful explosion magic that immediately incapacitates her for the rest of the day when cast, and refuses to learn any other skills

After them is:

Haruka Amami from The iDOLM@STER by eHungary citizen Vadaskertbenvok

Haruka Amami, at the age of 16, is a very cheerful and hard-working girl who loves to sing. She's also known to be the main heroine of the iDOLM@STER games.

Due to her nature, she can quite easily get along with almost anybody, hence the reason why Takagi calls her "a normal girl". She is also a very clumsy girl who frequently trips and falls, but despite her clumsiness she loves to dance and participate in sports events.

Haruka also loves making sweets, which is one of her main hobbies. She especially loves to make cakes and cookies and bring them to the office with her and share them with the staff. On her days off Haruka loves to research new recipes or go to the local bakery to buy cakes and then try to make the same kind herself.

Her family consists of herself, her father, and her mother. The Amamis are a very cheerful family, and value the importance of spending time together. Because her house is in a provincial city far away from downtown, Haruka has to take the morning's first train whenever she goes to work in Tokyo

Our final contestant is:

Princess Zelda from the titular The Legend of Zelda nominated by our own Nanashi Senshi

Zelda, Princess of Hyrule, best known simply as Princess Zelda is a member of Hyrule's Royal Family and plays an integral role in the history of Hyrule. She is depicted as a kind and benevolent ruler. As the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda is wise beyond her years and intelligent enough to rule her people. She always wishes to do what is right for her people and is extremely self-sacrificing. Though she is not always capable of defending herself or her people on her own, she is willing to use any means necessary to aid her allies to achieve those ends, no matter the cost to herself.

Associated with the Goddess Nayru and the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda possesses keen insight and good judgment—although this does not always aid her in avoiding capture. Most of Zelda's incarnations are also gifted with innate psychic or magical powers, such as telepathy and precognition, which most likely relate to her original incarnation as the goddess Hylia (Skyward Sword). Although her full range of abilities is yet to be revealed, Zelda can cast spells and create or annul barriers and seals. Zelda's alter egos appear to have specialized abilities of their own. In Twilight Princess, she wields a sword, though it is unknown if she truly possessed any fencing skills, however incarnations will often possess excellent archery skills.
