1、9月党主席选举, 不明势力介入国内政局

走私, 促进产业结构调整, 还是损国利己？

PART I Inside eChina

1. A mysterious force has joined eChina's politics and participated in September's party president election.

Results for September's party president election: PRP-dawenxi, CDP-supersuperhero, Fx Lxx Gong-Annyon g、Serpentia-Snayke, Soy Sauce-JIAJUNPENG, HKGolden-Jo Tombs. As we can see, except for the newly found HKGolden, all parties remain almost the same as before. It seems that the members of HKGolden party did not know the rules well enough so they did not propose any candidates. This make the mysterious force win the presidency quite easily. They later changed the name to Sanctae Crucis et Operis Dei. They claimed that they are players from different countries IRL and are here to help small nations regain their lost territory. Some people treat this force as PTO'ers from other countries. Now there are 30 members in this party, 3 of which are congressmen.

2. Ambassadors on board.

Last week, eIran, member of PEACE, joined the war against eCanada. Rumor says that anti-PEACE forces will start resistance war in eIran occupied regions, in order to hold eIran. This news has since encouraged our citizens. We see an opportunity to take back our long lost regions. Many citizens started buying weapon and moving tickets, waiting for the war to begin in northeastern regions. But the resistance war started in Northern India after all. That was really a disappointing news to most of the citizens.

5. Smuggling has become a hot topic.

6. Salary fluctuate on the market, manufacturing becomes attractive again.

Recently there is a big fluctuation of salary on the market. Salary of gathering industry, which used to be very desirable, has declined a little. And manufacturing, which was kind of neglected, has higher salary now, even higher than gathering sometimes. It's believed that this change has something to do with the recent development in weapon manufacturing. Weapon industry is so profitable that it could offer high salary to the employees. This makes other manufacturing companies difficult to find good employees so they have to raise the salary, too. At the same time, high salary resulted higher demand for consumer products, like higher quality food, which further increase the profitability of the companies. It looks quite promising.

7. Q5 hospital construction still going forward.

As of now, the construction of the Q5 hospital is 30% completed.


PART II Focus

Smuggling, impetus of the shift in industrial structure or poison to the nation and its citizen?

Recently, there is so much discussion about smuggling going on. What caused this discussion is the statement of “building the most international duty-free shopping service group” by some dominating company owner. What it actually does is to help citizens to smuggle all sorts of products, from raw material to high end consumer products, into the country.

It's a big move and immediately created quite a stir. Many has pointed out that this kind of action will dramatically cause disorder on the market while result in tax loss for the state. This businessman responded that this is just to re-shape the industrial structure in eChina and drive the productivity to the most competitive products.

There is some argument on this one. Opponent says that smuggling is actually a re-distribution on national wealth, the supply of smuggled products is not stable and it will decrease the state's income. Therefore, the point of changing national industrial structure could not be backed up. This side of the story is further summarize😛

Smuggling of consumer products and raw materials that can be produced inside the country should be forbidden, because it's unstable, unfair and tax-losing. Smuggling of raw materials that could not be produced in the country could be allowed.

Before we have high region for some raw materials, we should maintain a low import tax for manufacturing and gathering, increase the productivity and export more.

Once we get our high resource regions back, we could raise import tax for manufacturing to a higher level but keep the gathering import tax low. This way we can compensate the loss in manufacturing and keep our economy healthy. It also helps attracting new residents.
