It has been a busy week in the Senate this week. From this week onwards, there will be 2 reports from the Department of Information: one for the Senate, another for the Cabinet. Here is the Senate report:

The following bills have been voted on in the Senate:

Public-Private Housing Bill
This Bill was proposed by deputy Treasurer Son of Rambo. It aims to create an alternative for the public to buy affordable Australian-built Q5 houses. This bill has been passed by the Senate after a close vote. For more information click here

Portfolio Budget Act Amendment
This amendment was proposed by Senator TheBlackAdder. Its purpose was to make Cabinet departments more accountable and transparent as well as reducing some of the workload of ministers and the Treasurer. This amendment has been passed by the Senate on June 11. For more information click here

Senate Impeachment Bill:
This bill was proposed by Senator Newt Gingrich. The bill aims to describe procedures for the impeachment of a Senator from the eAustralian Senate. The bill was passed by the Senate on June 11. For more information click here

The following bills/proposals are currently being voted on in the Senate:

Training ‘Boot Camp’ Trial June 2009 Proposal
This was proposed by Minister of Defence Ranger Bob. If passed, a Training ‘Boot Camp’ scheme will be implemented. 10 citizens a fortnight will be enlisted over a 1 month trial period. It aims to get newer citizens active in the eAustralian military. They will participate in various military activities and will be supported with weapons and possibly moving tickets. At present, it would have a budget of no more than AUD$1,000. For more information click here

High Court of eAustralia Bill
This bill was proposed by Senator Mark Sanchez with help from citizen hongimaster in writing up the bill. It aims to establish the “Supreme Court of eAustralia”, an arm of the Judicial Review, which would provide a legitimacy to the democratic system of eAustralia. For more information click here

eAustralia Parliamentary Process Act Amendment
This amendment was proposed by Prime Minister Tim09. It aims to clarify the members of the Cabinet of the eAustralian Government. It also proposes some inclusion criteria for Cabinet Ministers. For more information click here

Order of Australia Nominations
Prime Minister Tim09 has nominated Derek Apollyon and Patti11 to receive Membership into the Order of Australia (OA). Derek Apollyon has been nominated to receive Membership as a Knight of the Order, while Patti11 has been nominated to receive Membership as a Grand Officer of the Order. Inspector General Appointment
The following Senators have been nominated for the position of Inspector-General: Alex Australis, Mouj, Mark Sanchez. For more information on what the Inspector General’s role is click here

Removal of Senator Preditorian as Senate Speaker
This proposal was put forward by Senator Australian Warlord as he claims that Senate Speaker Preditorian has brought the eAustralian Senate into disrepute. For more information click here

Senate Impeachment Bill Amendment
This amendment was proposed by Senator Melchizedek Smith. It was put forward to clarify different offences that can result in the impeachment of an eAustralian Senator. For more information click here

The budget for June has been put forward by the Department of Finance Ministers Srg91 and Son of Rambo. For more information click here

Banning of Icey1174 from the eAustralian government
This proposal was put forward by Treasurer srg91. It was proposed following several incidences involving former Senator Icey1174. For more information click here

Removal of Senator Australian Warlord from the Senate
This proposal was done by Senator Br0adside following an article published by Senator Australian Warlord. For more information click here

iTechnology Policy Proposal
This proposal was put forward by Xavier Griffith. It has no bearings on the Senate, or eGovernment. It encompasses the management of the ausrepublik.com site and hosting. For more information click here
