Country Top Tens #7

Day 2,241, 12:59 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Equalist

We continue early into the New Year with no drastic change. But I'm still obligated to create weekly articles, so here you go.

Serbia becomes increasingly powerful as Hungary struggles to remain an empire. At one point of the week, Hungary lost its status as an empire, but later regained it. Can Hungary hold onto its power? Gains were seen throughout the other top 10 countries, continuing the trend over the past few weeks. If this trend continues, expect to see Spain become an empire by late January or early February. Meanwhile, the UK rebounds some of last week's losses after defeating France, but still remains below 1,000 points.

The pattern of an overall slow decline in population worldwide continues. But this decline is very stable throughout, with no changes in the top 10. Brazil, which for so long was dropping about 10% of its population per week, was the only country in the top ten to increase, albeit very slightly. Serbia continues to be by far the largest country in population (and power) by still being the only country to have over 10,000 citizens.
