Country Top Tens #1

Day 2,192, 22:19 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Equalist

Welcome to an all new weekly series! It has been many months since I have written an article, but now that I am more active, I figured I'll do some more writing. This series will look at the top ten countries in eRepublik based off of the new Empire ranking and Population. In addition, the ranking of the eUK will be included. Since this is the first article, there will not be much, but in future articles, there will be comparisons between last week and the current standings, along with analysis.

The Country Power Index is determined by the military power of the country and the amount of regions it owns/occupies. In order to be considered an Empire, a country must have at least 4,000 points. By this standard, there are currently four empires in the eWorld. According to the chart, Poland is as powerful as the next four countries combined. Does this seem like an accurate reflection?

It would be expected that a major indicator of country power is based on how many citizens a country has. Interestingly, Brazil is ranked second in population, but is ranked 53rd in the Country Power Index. Is Brazil full of inactive citizens, or in the midst of a baby boom? Many of the countries with large populations are found in the Americas, but the most powerful nations are located throughout Eurasia.

I'll have a new article out every Wednesday, so be sure to subscribe! Also, don't forget to vote, and feedback is always appreciated.
