Congress Information [Day 1,561]

Day 1,561, 16:15 Published in Canada Canada by Mann551

Today is the third day of congress, for the February - March 2012 term, and after reading through the forums, and some articles, I will be presenting you with you congress information for today.

On the Forum: (Which can be found here)

1) Discussions for 99% import taxes has been going on here, after Plugson's article about changing the import tax for WRM. These seem to be going hard, even though the proposal has been put up in game.

2) There has been talk of restarting the construction program for the new Q2 Training Centers. this would see the gold needed going to people to upgrade their training center to Q2, and then later on, the possibility is there to have them pay it back to the government. It seems that this is starting to wind down, with what seems as if congress is turning it down.

3) There are now discussions about moving congressional debates from the eCanadian forum to in-game. Whether this would be in articles, or pm's has yet to be decided. A congress military unit has also been suggested, so they can use the shout box.

4) Voting for a new Speaker of Congress has finished. The candidates were Simon Boucher-Ruest and ppdanny. Simon Boucher-Ruest won the election 11-6.

In-Game Proposals:

1) An alliance has been proposed between Canada and Finland

2) Donate - this is just your normal $99,999 CAD donation to the Canadian Ministry of Finance to fund your Military Units, who in turn supply you to fight to your very best.

3) Issue Money has been proposed from a friend who is trying to PTO Canada, he is from INCI. I can assure you this will not go through, and even if it did, it would not do too much irreparable damage.

4) The 99% import taxes for WRM has been proposed and it is a close race, but is does seem like the motion will be passed. What you can expect is a possible rise in WRM prices, and/or if the bot comes back online, there could also be seen a shortage of WRM.

Other:

1) Discussion about moving congressional debates from the forum to in-game, as per Ralph Kline's article.

If you have any comments about what is happening in congress, or would like to have me propose something, don't be afraid to pm me, comment on this article, or talk to one of the other elected congress officials.
