Beast of the South

Day 1,770, 16:32 Published in Canada Canada by Vrykolaus Drauvik
With the Americans under a Serbian PTO threat by the AFA party, requiring Canadian Fish, Deer and Iron to nearly fulfill their 100/100 bonus, no MPP with Canada for roughly two weeks and becoming allies with Canadian adversaries such as Poland and Spain, it would be foolish to dismiss the fact that the Americans are a possible threat to Canadian sovereignty.

Our former brethren of the south, America has entered a new age of foreign policy. Boasting twenty-two MPPs compared to Canada's fourteen, it has become a member of the CTRL alliance while Canada has no Allilance. It would seem astonishing considering America lost a stack of MPPs when it invaded Canadian soil and with such internal conflict ravaging their lands, have still managed to maintain an impressive array of allies.

Canadian foreign policy has had a hard time re-inventing itself in an ever changing world. It appears it simply cannot keep up with the times.

There is the obvious proof of the American's leaving the Balkans, whether it be to release itself from productivity bonuses to detour PTO'ers, too gain world dominance through an elite group of countries or just to leave the region for good. Sadly I don't know what to believe from them anymore. Aside from their propaganda, I will tell you this.

Greed can only be extinguished for so long. With a proud people such as the Americans, with their unflinching patriotism, their manifesto for greatness and their inability to keep distrustful Presidents out of office I can assure you that without persistent communication with our former southern ally, America will at some point in the near future take Canada to fulfill it's bonus appetite.

Canadian Options.

1) Becoming a part of EDEN. I am quite fond of this idea, as some of our closest friends already belong to this alliance. My deepest concern with this move is the inability to defend against American invasion.

2) Join the ONE alliance. Imagine the American's streaking across our borders, only to be met by just not Canadians, but the Serbians and FRYOM? An interesting scenario, but if keeping strong relations with our current MPP's is our priority, this idea is probably not the best one.

3) Create a new alliance. A lot of footwork to be had here. Before starting to go through all the paperwork on this one, we could be attacked at any time.

4) Persistent Communication. My favorite idea of all four. Find out the root of the problems, and start coming to some equal terms that benefit both sides. Start from the beginning, and don't give up until the end.

I wish nothing more then to re-establish a strong and mutually beneficial Alliance with the United States of America like the days of old. All I presented today was a warning what will happen if we continue this loathing behavior.
