Awesome Militaries and Buggy Games -_-

I R HAPPY …. But not drunk

So eAmerica, it’s that time of the … ya know, I’ve realised I don’t even have a schedule for these, you just get them off the wall when I feel like writing. I might make them a bit regular though, so keep your eyes open 😉

So, this article, here’s what I’m discussing –

1) – Congress: 3rd Time’s a charm?
2) – The National Guard, and why it’s awesome
3) - eRep goes down, what’s new there?

So, without further ado, lets get on with it 😃

1) – Is my 3rd time the charm with Congress?

Here we go again, congress elections are round the corner, and this charming idiot here is running for congress yet again. Although, this time, I won’t be running in New York, sorry Arrden, can’t take a 3rd straight beating to you xD. As the moment, I don’t know where I am running, but rest assured, once I know, there will be another article out, and I’ll let you all know too 😉

But what I can tell you is I am prepared to go all out in winning a congress seat this time. I hope that anyone who is subbed to this paper who isn’t running, maybe you could come over to where I run, and vote me? Because lets face it, congress is boring without a little bit of JK there 😛

You know you want me in there

2) – The National Guard – It’s my home and it’s f***ing awesome

I know this sounds like a huge plug, but I feel it’s the honest truth sometimes. I’ve been part of the NG for, coming up on an entire year now, and not once have I ever considered leaving it, even when I realised I’d passed the requirements needed for the Marines (Who wouldn’t wanna be a Marine). So I asked myself, what makes the NG so awesome that I never want to leave?

Maybe it’s the leadership – Axe_Ccident and Jadiv are awesome commanders. Axe is always cheerful, and even when she’s not cheerful, when she’s mean to people it’s still funny. Oh, and lets not forget to mention the countless times I have bent her ear with personal problems … Sorry about that ;3. And Jadiv is pretty much the intellectual drunk of the command. He’s always starting up what becomes a great conversation and debate, all by asking a simple question about Britain from my perspective.

Maybe it’s the comrades! – Everyone is always bro-friendly there … we don’t address anyone as sir, ma’am or boss, we all refer to nicknames (Hence why I get called JK, was to distinguish between myself and my bro Ghost when he was NG :3) and no matter how annoying we all get sometimes, we all keep it friendly and sweep the bad blood away

However, one of the things that I find annoying, is the stigma attacked to the National Guard by some people. I’ve had a couple of people mention to me that when they’ve tried getting into political jobs, or if they’ve been asked where they serve (and their answer being the NG), they get looked down upon and sneered at. What kind of attitude is that? To tell someone that because he’s in the NG, it’s a “Dead-End” . I disagree and would like to point out that the NG has produced some decent people, John Largo, a super tank, is an ex-NG Member who still considers some of his best times being in the NG. Jadiv, is an absolute fricking beast, with 11,000+ strength … and he calls the NG home. Hell, even ex-PoTUS Haliman was NG.

My point being is that nobody has the right to look down on the NG when our accomplishments are there in plain sight for all to see … and that accomplishment list is just going to keep growing, because we deserve some recognition and we’ll damned well get it one way or the other!

(/rant)

This is what the NG has in store for its enemies. GET OVER HERE!

3) – Buggy eRep is Buggy … and down …

So, in case you haven’t heard … or seen yet (In the case of the latter … you must have a RL 😮), eRepublik has been having some *ahem* “troubles” (Crap servers that Plato doesn’t deem necessary to spend money on). The site was down for quite a decent time period yesterday, roughly 3- 5 hours, and boy did that cause havoc.

First, Battles … The lifeblood of eRepublik’s internal revenue. With the server down, nobody could fight, and this presented troubles to people who were worried about super important battles, such as the Romania vs. Serbia battle, that was as even as possible, with 7 battles each and the counters being at 600 and 630 respectively. Thankfully, admins didn’t screw anyone too badly, because they paused battles in the meantime.

Secondly, PP Elections. For those small parties who are constantly at risk of PTO’s from people looking for lulz, any downtime is terrible if you’re losing. It’s also terrible for any ATO efforts too if they’re losing. Thankfully, I haven’t heard of many troubles on this side, with most parties showing huge gaps between official candidates and people who just run and hope to win (For Example, AMP’s Election, Jack Mensley [The official Candidate] won with 306 votes, to … Haliman [Not Official] and his 34 votes).

I’ve heard talk of people demanding compensation from the admins, such as bars and bazookas. Personally, I’m against compensation. Should the Admins have let it get this bad? No, but is it entirely their fault? No again. Compensation shows people are being greedy when quite frankly, nothing of huge importance was lost, except a few hours of the lives of people who couldn’t bear to leave the screen should eRep return …

This represents my view on eRep Servers and Compensation Seekers

A new segment in my paper, The Guests’ Corner will be a special place where people can talk briefly about anything erep related. It’s a place where I can help bring them out into the media spotlight

Todays Guest! – Robert Reynolds

Title: Economic Woes - Well, not really.
It has been a few days since all the crap the Admins did to the econ module. While many predicted the collapse of the eWorld Economy, myself and others told you that everything was going to be fine. Biggest news: Wages are down from their previous high.

Silver Lining: Wages are increasing, prices of goods are on a slow rise, and our economies remain strong.

Economic Analysis: Barring an Admin Shakeup, this is the status quo right now. Prices should not fluctuate greatly, though trends indicate that prices and wages will slowly trend up for a while. Short of a World War, I predict that the economy module is going to remain rather boring for the next few weeks.

Not only does he ask that question, he goes into a bit of depth to show how he comes to his conclusion.
