Australian Surge: What it means for the Oceanic Region

Day 1,823, 14:31 Published in United Kingdom South Africa by Freebairn

In the past few days, Australian Revolutionaries have risen up, and taken the provinces of Queensland & The Northern Territory. The Australians have made peace with the Chileans they overthrew in the rebellions, though the Chilean government is not happy about losing two large and important colonial provinces. There are still pro-Australian resistance wars in Chilean occupied Australia, and there are rumors of many prideful Australian soldiers going to aid the resistance forces. National fervor runs deep. Who knows what else will happens in Australia now?

This Australian city street was the sight of a shootout between Chilean soldiers (one seen here directing traffic) and Australian Rebels.

Nearby, in New Zealand (as my last article referred to), the Argentines have been completely expelled from the area, losing half of New Zealand to Chilean soldiers, and the other half to New Zealand (Kiwi) rebels. Auckland and Canterbury are now safely part of the newly free New Zealand, and Wellington & Otage are Chilean colonies. The two nations have worked well and have announced an alliance. While both their forces collaborated in pushing the army of Argentina out of Oceania, New Zealand & Australian rebels continue to harass Chilean soldiers in the region.

The main reason I'm bringing this all up (other than the political relevance), is that the rise of these two formerly subdued native nations of Oceania could mean something larger than it seems. After a relatively long time of South American control, Oceania is regaining control of themselves. Is this a new time of Australian and New Zealand self control, or will Chile and Argentina just re-invade and put them down again? With their opposite beliefs, will New Zealand and Australia come to blows in the near future? Just some simple thoughts. Remember to donate if you like the paper!
