An Interview with Jefferson Locke

Day 1,928, 18:27 Published in USA USA by Clint Carmel

And now, since I did an interview with Vanek26, here is one with Jefferson Locke.
======================================================================

Clint: I see that you are running for President of the United States. Why? What are your credentials? (if it's because of being current VP, how do you feel you have contributed? Any accomplishments this months you are particularly proud of?) What are your goals? What do you hope to accomplish?
How do you feel about the current state of eUS politics? Thoughts, if any, on SPQR?

Jefferson Locke:
1.) The main reason that I'm running is because I think that we need someone to help usher in the new generation of players. We can't keep relying on older players to keep the big chair. What happens when they leave? There will be a gap of leadership that is ready to lead. I think it's time for us as a nation to get over the hump and welcome the next group of leaders.

Jefferson Locke: The current state of eUS politics is kinda mired in complacency. We need fresh ideas and fresh leadership.

Clint: Assuming you win, what would your foreign policy plans be?

Jefferson Locke: Foreign policy wise, I think it's important for us to keep working with CoT, while at the same time staying loyal to our other allies, such as Albania. There will never be an executive issue with signing an MPP with Albania if I'm elected President.

Clint: Any domestic policies you would revise?

Jefferson Locke: Domestic policies, I like what we have, but I think that we could do some work on helping the MU's with the cost of doing business. That's more military than domestic, but needs to be noted.

Clint: How do you feel about the AFA? FED? AMP? USWP? Vox? Shoe Police? (Feel free to add any thoughts on a lesser party of note.) Specifically, how do you feel about today's events, with RGR and Viarza coordinating an attempt to have two 'top 5' parties?

Jefferson Locke: The AFA and Shoe Parties are domestic enemies. The other parties are all great. I'm a firm believer that strong parties make a strong nation. You can't be successful in ATO efforts without having strong parties.

Clint: Finally-- for those who know J.Lo the character, but who know nothing of the man behind the curtain: what brought you to eRepublik? What keeps you around? Why Robert Redford, as opposed to Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman or Paul Newman? Where did the bunny go?

Jefferson Locke: I was actually looking up various candies, and ran across Chocolate McSkittles, a former CP of America. I started reading, and signed up for the game. From there, I met Fingerguns, Paul Proteus, Duncan Crowe, Mazzy Cat, John Killah, Artela, Vasilis, and others. They were all great at teaching me the game, and keep me in this game currently as well 😃

Clint: what do you think of Oblige, and his avatar?

Jefferson Locke: Love the man, hate the avatar
