Advice for Those New to eRepublik

Building up in eRepublik

This article is primarily for newer players to give them more information on the options open to them. It’s essentially for informing them of the options available to them and for them to know there is plenty of help out there to help them succeed. The point is for our newer players to stick around and build up rather than giving-up due to being unaware of the massive amount of help out there.

It’s a lot easier to get through the initial steps in eRepublik than it used to be. New citizens now get a maximum energy level of 500 just by reaching level 21. Earlier, you had to buy a weapons factory, a rocket factory or an iron ore to increase your maximum energy. Furthermore, it’s even easier to play as you now get a whole bar of energy when you level up, and for newer players the leveling up is much faster than for older players.

The point of all of this is that now it is much easier being a newer player in eRepublik than it was earlier, and a lot easier than it used to be back in the day as I’ve heard. The game is constantly improving and getting better with more gameplay and more options as time goes on. It gets even better as you build up and take advantage of the other aspects of the game like politics or voicing your opinion in your paper.

Overview of Advice for New Players

▪ Ask for help in eRepublik - many will offer advice and help on how to improve and build up especially if you’re a new player.

▪ Post in your MU feed for food or weapons and someone will probably send some over.

▪ Invest in Q3 WRM companies or aluminum mines. Increase your earnings over time or as quickly as you like by investing in more of these companies.

▪ Subscribe to the great newspapers I listed in the text below– including the Minister of Health to increase your health in the game.

▪ Upgrade weapons factories if you want to, although it costs more, and do the calculations if it’s profitable in the quality level you choose. Right now it seems only Q5 factories and above are profitable.

▪ Be patient – as you build up the game will become more and more interesting. Also take advantage of being involved in a political party, in writing your views in your newspaper and more.

▪ Save up your energy bars and bazookas from daily orders for key battles and to do more damage even when going for a battle hero award.

▪ Search the eRepublik wiki for any information you may need. There’s tons of information there. Also ask and others will offer help.

▪ Invest in your training grounds you’re going to need as much strength as you can gather as you rise through the divisions to do more damage and to have a better shot at getting Battle Hero awards.

▪ If buying in eRepublik you might get more value by waiting for a special offer from eRepublik. They have various great offers on during the month including gold at 30% more gold per offer.

New Players Help and Growth in the Beginning

▪ Know where to look – post in your MU feed for food or weapons – someone will likely help out with food or weapons.

▪ Subscribe to the paper Minister of Health – get up to 500 energy per day. - Minister of Health. Fill out the form for the 500 health.

▪ Subscribe to the paper Free Food – released once in a while it gives 1000 energy to anyone who posts - Free Food

▪ Work every day – The economy is still bad in the game and some earnings are low but if you keep working than you can keep fighting for your MU and you can buy the food or some weapons that you may need.

▪ Join a political party that you like so you can be more involved in the game. Know what your party is about, what it stands for and whether it’s similar to your likes.

Creating Companies and WRM Factories

If you want to increase your day-to-day earnings and you’re a new player you can invest in Q3 WRM factories or aluminum mines at 10 gold each. That will give you 175 WRM per mine or an extra 12.25 CCs per day (at 0.07 CC/WRM). You can also upgrade your companies and produce the weapons and food that you need for yourself but this costs more gold which you will either need to save up or purchase.

Another option is always joining a commune or slavepit. It varies from one military unit to another but in the CAF you get the tanks you produce and you have to pay for the weekly cost of the WRM. This also takes gold but they have an efficient system in place and with the CAF you can find more details there. Other MUs that I’m aware of that have communes or slavepits are the TCO (Crimson Canucks in eCanada) and Captains of Industry. Each system might vary somewhat but the basic principle is that you work for minimum wage but get the products produced. How each commune works with respect to WRM varies from MU to MU. Either way it’s an efficient and more cost effective way than perhaps building up your own company from the very beginning.

If you need gold you can buy gold but If buying gold from eRepublik wait for special offers like 30% extra gold, or factory upgrades at 56% cost, training center upgrades at discount and similar. eRepublik has deals throughout the month an it’s best to take advantage of these offers.

Join Helpful Programs

In the CAF you have weekly supplies and you can join the CAF Mentorship program where you can earn a lot of CCs for completing the goals set out for you. Boomer’s Academy is a great place to begin sometimes as well, as they hand out tanks and food and provide mentorship but the exact details I’m not familiar with. Other military units might have their programs as well. The bottom line is join a military unit that you like and there will be plenty of options for you if you look. I know from my own experience that in the CAF there is ample opportunity for help, mentorship, funding, and money earning options like the communes but I'm sure there is ample opportunity in other military units including The Crimson Order (TCO) and Captains of Industry. It’s up to you but it’s important for you to choose an MU that you like and to know that help is out there.

Invest in Training Grounds

Another important point to talk about is investing in your training grounds. This all depends on your wish for spending gold to train with or the gold you use to upgrade your training grounds. However, the more strength you can accumulate the better, since you will need it as you rank up and as you get into higher divisions. In the beginning in Div.1 and Div.2, bazookas can carry you a long way to a battle hero award, but by the time you get to Div.4 you need a lot of strength in addition to your bazookas with boosters to do more damage. Save your energy bars, your bazookas, and bazooka boosters for your BH goals but invest in training facilities as well.

Final Notes

Have fun and play, write an article, join a political party and get more involved, use the resources available to you in the game, and build up and play at your own pace. Ask for info or help and you can also search Google for anything on eRepublik including papers on topics of interest to you.

Hopefully we might create a whole section on the eCanada forums with more links and information, but currently there is a section for new citizens where you can also post for more info. In the meanwhile I offer this article. I hope it helps.
