A word from the Count of Gelre

Dear Nobles and Commoners of the eNetherlands,

As Henri the eleventh claimed the throne a few days ago, the long peaceful kingdom of the eNetherlands was again on the brink of a war between kings. I, Count of Gelre and a close friend of the previous King Kordak, stayed on guard on our eastern border in those years of peace and prosperity. And now I see yet another game for the eDutch throne begin...
The Players:


King Henri the Eleventh

King Henri seemed to appear from nothing, laying claim to the eDutch throne since the old King Kordak was absent for a long time. First met with few resistance, but soon supporters of the old king started to falsify the claims of Henri, and called for his head.

But king Kordak himself didn't return, and people started to think that it would be better to have a new king...
But then the crown-prince and heir to the throne returned from his long travels across time and space:


Prince Willem The Conqueror

Prince Willem was seen a long time ago, and people were doubting his existence already. But there he was. In a royal statement he made clear that King Kordak was ill for some time now and his health condition was (and still is) unclear. If King Kordak is to depart from this world. Willem would be the new King and his brother Prince Legendardisch would be the next in the line of inheritance.

The Crownprince declared open hostilities against the King Henri 'The Usurper' XI. And asked the nobles to follow him.
The Current Situation:


As Prince Willem is at his family palace Noordeinde with his father, King Henri was last seen in the capital city of Amsterdam. His current whereabouts are unknown, but people say he is recruiting an army to press his claim.

The coming months will prove whose loyalty lies with whom. Which nobles will support the Prince, and which will follow King Henri.
