[TUP] The Equalist: One More Month!

Day 1,882, 23:21 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Equalist

I want to thank everyone for a very successful month. We have seen our membership stabilize and improve compared to other parties, bringing us on track to gaining the top spot in the near future. Of course, being PP is not all about increasing membership. In the end, it is not a competition to see who can gain the most members in the shortest amount of time. Rather the role of the PP is to engage in the community. By community I refer to both the party community and the national community. Over the past month, I have engaged with people across the eUK in the pursuit in improving our society. I believe that the worst of the fighting across parties is over, but there still is a long way to go before achieving a more harmonious form of society. I will be running for PP once more in hopes of improving both the party and the nation.

To quickly recap the past month in TUP, we have proven our resilience as a major factor in eUK politics. The Congressional election of December marked a return to the most voted party, through the help of our alliance with UKRP. We managed to get 11 members in (9 TUP, 2 UKRP) with 28.52% of the vote. This is an increase of 3.75% from last month. Of course, the last election was quite different from others due to many parties running candidates from multiple parties. Regardless, I am satisfied with the outcome.

In the Presidential election, we broke the constant candidating of our own candidates in replacement of endorsing a candidate from another party (Betafoxtrot from ESO). While the election was ultimately won by BigAnt, the election was far close than last month and this month’s government is much more politically diverse. This diversity is key to ensuring that we all have a say in government. Accusations of elitism and one party having all the control must be put to an end, and I am encouraged that a more diverse cabinet will help lessen the fighting and increase the cooperation.

Over the next month, I continue to work on the tasks that have made the past month successful. Being PP is an open-ended operation. The end is never the end, but rather a new beginning. I hope that by the end of this month, our country will have progressed further into a unified society and that you will be better off. One more month!
