[TUP] The Equalist for Party President

Day 1,850, 21:57 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Equalist

For over three months, I have been a member of the eUK community and The Unity Party. I have am currently serving my second term in Congress and am the current Vice Party President of TUP. I have also been involved in the cabinet with the Youth First project and am currently part of the Citizenship Committee. We approach another PP election, and after spending time looking into the various demands expected from a PP, I am confident that I have the ability to lead TUP. I am running for Party President this month, and I hope you agree that I am the best choice to lead this party forward.

Community

I want to make this party as opening and welcoming as possible. We are always available for you on the eUK Forums and IRC. I’ll be sure to keep in touch with you in messaging, so that you are always in the know. TUP has a strong community full of both youthful and experienced members. I want to continue growing the community so that we can lay the foundations for progress.

I also intend on writing frequent articles so that you know what is going on both in the TUP community and eUK community. Retention is an important aspect that I will be working on, so I hope that through these articles, you will become well informed and a productive part of our community.

As a community, we come to our decisions collectively. That is why I will continue the use of a party conference on our forums so that you get a say in what our party stands for. We are currently holding one now, so join in the conversation today!

Elections

With Congress Elections, I am always willing to place new candidates who show great potential first. It was the reason I got into office, and look how far I have gotten since then. We need place the younger generation first so we can create the leaders of tomorrow. Of course, experience is still important, but a blend of both new and experienced candidates is the best way to represent our community. If you are new and are interested in running, be sure to check out the eUK Forums.

With Presidential elections, I am looking for a candidate who is able to move beyond party lines. Everything in this country has become overly politicized in recent months, and this needs to change. Of course, the decision for our candidate for President will be made by the community as a whole. But we all need to work together in government, regardless of what party we are in.

Final Thoughts

Throughout my time here in TUP, I have gotten to know the history behind the party. While it may seem we are reaching a low point with falling membership and removal from the number one spot, the truth is this has all happened before. Contrary to popular belief, TUP has never always been the #1 party in this country. We have had good times, we have had bad times. But in the end we remain strong. As a matter of fact, we are now the oldest party in the top 5. The reason for our enduring success is not because of some ill-conceived notion of elitism, but rather a strong and vibrant community. As Party President, I want to focus in bringing out the best of our core values, and not get involved in attempting to lower our standards to gain a few extra people. It is better to have a strong community than a larger group of people who do not have the interests of the party in mind, but rather their own interests.

We need to progress forward and work together on solving the problems we will face. Finals are over, so you know I am going to be active enough to fulfill this role and help serve you! Vote for me this 15th and we will take a leap of faith into a world more equal for all.
