[Swiss MoFA] - Foreign affairs & current situation

Greetings citizens of Switzerland

First let me say, it is a great pleasure and honor to serve as your Minister of
Foreign Affairs this term. It has always been my goal to work for prosperity and for the wellbeing of our community and our nation. After the economic help by the Royal Treasury for the Swiss citizens, I view the position as Minister of Foreign Affairs, as a job that grants great opportunity to help our nation in another way which is equally important… international promotion.
Warming the relations with different nations which in future can lead to increase in economic and military cooperation, will benefit everyone. Thank you, I salute you o7




At the beginning of the term and continuously until now the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs has contactacted several nations around the world, congratulating the newly elected leaders, wishing them a successful term, with hopes of furthering the cooperation with every friendly nation.
We got supportive messages in return by our allies in NEBULA Alliance, our Training war partners and friendly leaders around the world. Several nations expressed interest to further the cooperation with us via Mutual Protection Pacts or Training Wars. To be honest I was surprised by the kind reactions of so many countries, even though Switzerland had no previous diplomatic or any other relations with them at all. I will not forget your support and encouragement for our nation

The Ministry would like to inform the Swiss citizens that the President and
it’s Ministers agreed that this month and the next month the signing of MPPs will be stopped. We will keep the existing MPP with Iran and Czech Republic and no other MPP will be signed until the end of the “Hot Summer” event, so the Ministry of Foreign affairs will continue to actively seek new MPP partners after the event.

The goal of this decision is to discourage soldiers from other nations to fight in our battles and take "our medals". If someone would like to get a medal in our battles, he will have to physically travel to our lands, which could be quite expensive and discouraging with the new ticket costs. The Government aims the gold from “our” battles to end in the pockets of our citizens, or at least to make more favorable odds for our citizens.

We encourage every Swiss citizen to get out and fight in our Training Wars, get as much gold as possible, since it became so easy to get a Battle Hero or Sky Hero medal. Use the inactivity and the lethargy that settles through the summer to our advantage. After the event ends and things will start to get to "normal", we can start renewing MPPs again.

The President and it’s Ministers also believe that the three training wars that we currently have are enough for our army. We will be able to hoard most of the gold and to control the TWs without much difficulties. Currently we are not looking for another training war, and forth TW may be started only if it is under extremely favorable conditions. Just follow the orders of our Minister of Defence as you did till now, and we will have no problem.





Informations about the current situation in the World

I would also like to briefly inform you about the current state of affairs in
our region... about the current military and the political struggles.




Lets start with the geopolitical situation in our region. Since the beginning of the
“Hot Summer” event, many CODE countries managed to free themselves or at least partly free themselves from the Asterian Iron grip. Our western neighbours and good friends, France, organized themselves with the nation of Turkey and managed to free several regions. Turks even managed to launch an Airstrike to Argentina seeking cover there, but those victories were short lived. Turkey was expelled from South America, while the French are continuing with valiant resistance. However it doesn’t look like they will have a lot of success against a superpower as Bulgaria. After several months Hungary has successfully liberated itself and reappeared on the map. Croatia liberated itself at the same time. The Hungarians suffered heavily under the so called “train” strategy. It looks like that has motivated them and with a lot of region swapping and strategic play in the past days they are successful in protecting their cores so far. Every military move that they undertook so far is explained in great details in their MEDIA. Croatia on the other hand is again under heavy attack by Asteria, and the future of their cores looks grim.
Both of these countries are seeking refuge on the Territory of their ANDES allies, and once again looks like there is a South American mess on the horizon . Asteria forces are present in the area too, and it looks like their forces will start military actions as soon as possible against the newly arrived Hungarians and Croats.






Back to the central european theatre of war, Albania and Brazil have landed in central Europe in Slovakia, to be more precise. Also, the Iranian forces are on the march and are heading in that direction too, so what will be the actual outcome we will know in near future.
Whatever the outcome, there is no indication so far that the warring parties have intention to move toward our borders.





In south Europe CODE countries have some difficult times as well, with sparks
of success here and there. Greece managed to liberate a big part of their territory by organizing successful resistance wars. Meanwhile, they also had a change in their tax policy. I suggest to Swiss citizen who have Greek trading licence to have a look at the new Greek Tax Policies.
Another major power in the region, Turkey is occupied as well. Their close work with the French, brought them short lived victory, but now they are at the start again, additionally they are suffering a Trade Embargo now by the Bulgarians, which makes things more difficult for them.





Beside military movements, worth mentioning is the political earthquake that is
taking place at the moment. The USA, a great friend of ours and industrial powerhouse has announced its decision to leave the CODE alliance. The move is followed with a lot of emotions lightly said.
There are a lot of accusations flying back and forth. According to USA the main reason to leave the alliance is because Ireland has encouraged and helped the Asteria invasion earlier this year. Ireland is not a member of CODE (they left, few months ago), but allegedly some CODE members stood in defense of Ireland which further angered the Americans. As a result of these events a law was proposed in the USA congress to leave the Code alliance which was accepted.
A vote for trade embargo against Ireland is currently on the table which will probably pass too.No doubt industrial giant as USA stopping trade with Ireland can greatly affect the Irish economy.
The Irish claim they are surprised by the accusations, which prompted the reaction in their CP article.After the voting began in the USA congress, the Irish MoD went to explain themselves in the American media
On the other hand, the American Governor in his article furthermore have explained how the relations within the alliance has deteriorated, and that the activity is practically non existent. If you are interested for more please feel free to read his explanation.

Swiss citizens that have investments in the USA or Ireland be advised, watch the situation closely because of possible retaliatory actions by the opposing side or political turmoil that may affect their investments.

If we take into consideration domestic and international affairs so far, there is no immediate danger for our sovereignty or economic prosperity. Follow the orders of our President and Minister of Defense, hoard as much gold as possible in our battles, and enjoy the summer 😉
