[Plato Foundation] Balance & World War

Day 3,723, 09:37 Published in Greece Cyprus by gio2aleGR

Hello again people!
This game has become very tiring and boring, especially last 2 years. One of the reasons is that it became unbalanced, for a lot of reasons we all know. Another reason is the endless and boring Training Wars. So I have a suggestion for a big change in the game. Let’s go straight to the point.

Determination Algorithm

I think that the best way to bring some balance to the game is to change the determination algorithm. I don’t know how the current algorithm works but I think Plato should make it like this:
- Every day the determination will be increased by 0,01. So at the end of the month it will be 1,30. This way it will be harder for strong countries to occupy weaker countries for a long time. They should also spend a lot of resources (money for co, ebs etc) to continue the occupation. Decreasing the resources of strong countries will bring some balance to the game.
- No determination reset. With the current system, if the occupator releases a region of the occupied country and wins the NE battle, then the determination in region resets to 1,00. My suggestion is to continue the increase of determination even after winning the NE battle. By 0,01 per day. The only way to reset the determination in a region will be only if the occupied country liberates the region and then determination decreases by 0,01 every day until it goes to 1,00.

Example: Let’s say Serbia occupies Chile’s region A for 30 days. The determination will be 1,30. Serbia releases the region and wins the NE battle there but the determination continues increasing by 0,01 every day. But if Chile wins the NE battle in the region then the determination starts decreasing by 0,01 per day until it goes to 1,00 after 30 days. So if Serbia (or other country) attacks the region again after 10 days, the determination will be 1,20.
In that way, stronger countries will not be able to occupy weaker countries for a long time and the opposite, weaker countries will not be occupied for a long time, giving them the ability to become stronger.

Full Scale eWorld War
As I said Training Wars are another reason that makes the game boring. My suggestion to change it is this:
- Plato will make 2 big (and balanced) alliances in the game and every country will be obliged to join one of them. Not 3 or more alliances because it would end up like 2vs1 or 3vs1 and this would be bad for balance. Just 1vs1. This way every country or every war MATTERS because it would be a war between the alliances. Offcourse there will be still a way to make TWs but they would be less than today. Less boring wars, more epics, more fun.
- But how will alliances be formed? Well firstly I suggest that Plato makes a country damage tournament for a whole week. Why a tournament? Because during tournaments a lot of 2-clickers come back in action so it would be better to measure the potential damage a country can do in a tournament. After that it will be up to countries or Plato to make the 2 alliances based to damage and balance. Let’s say for example that the first alliance will be Asteria and some friends who alltogether made about 1 trillion damage in the weekly tournament and the rest countries will form the second alliance who also made about 1 trillion damage in the weekly tournament (supposing that in the tournament all countries together made 2 trillions damage).
- Another way to decrease the TWs is to change the way a rw can be opened. I suggest that only the players of the same alliance will be able to open a rw in an occupied region of their alliance. This also brings some strategy to the game because the strong country or alliance will not be able to open rws in the other alliance’s regions that have occupied whenever they want.
- Also I would suggest Plato to add a new feeds tab: the alliance feeds tab, where alliance members can post oreders, priorities etc. Good communication mechanism is always a big plus for a game.
In that way, no more …neutral countries (xD) and endless boring TWs, at least not so many as today. Also, making the game interesting again will attract more players, old and new ones making it even more interesting.

Maybe my plan is not perfect but I believe it would be far more interesting, enjoyable and including more strategy than the current BORING one.
