Foreword

It won't make it more special to most of you, but all images used here are not art pieces I'm ripping off the internet, they're homemade. So, enjoy that. I'm rather self-conscious of this writing, and it's not a style I'm really used to. It's good I think, to attach some kind of line to yourself with these kinds of things. Anyways, once again, I hope you enjoy at least a bit of it.

Oh, and shoutout to Darshu.

It was the 6th of October, and I was getting ready to set out. My time had finally come, the time to leave again. I called a few of the people I knew to gather them in one place. First I called Oraizan who answered on the second ring, "Oraizan speaking." She sounded annoyed.

"Hey there! How are you doing? It's me... Senry!" I said happily with excitement bubbling up from inside me.

She groaned loudly into my ear," Who?"

I gasped and let out a nervous laugh before saying," Hahaha..." That got her laughing too so we laughed together for about three seconds, then she put on an evil tone.

"So what do you want? You're going through your whole spiel just to tell me this isn't real life but rather some weird game that you've made us play by yourself? We don't have anything better to do than listen to you talk crazy?"

It was hard to argue with her, so instead I just smiled to myself and said, "No, I want to ask you and some others to come to dinner with me for the last time. The time when I leave the world to live on in another was at hand."

She laughed nervously and said, "You're leaving so soon?"

I let out a small sigh, and replied, "Yes."

"Then why did you call us? It's not like we can change your mind."

"You're right." I laughed. "But if you all could come to dinner with me, it would make me happy."

"I'll be there." She said, and hung up.

I proceeded to call the next person, Fyreous. He wasn't even in the cabinet, but I felt his presence was important to me. He answered right away. "Fyreous speaking."

I spoke in a more cheerful tone than I'd been using with Oraizan, "Hiya! it's me, Senry. Good morning, Fyr! I hope you're having a nice day!"

Fyreous gave a little laugh, "Good morning."

We talked a bit before he asked, "What's up?"

"I'm going to make a trip again." I said, trying to sound cheerful, though it came out sounding a little nervous.

"Again?"

"Yes. I'll be going away to a new world for a bit."

"I see. Will you be coming back?"

I remained silent for a few seconds that lasted an eternity before saying, "Maybe."

The silence hung between us for another few seconds before Fyreous spoke. "I see, so why did you call me?"

"I'm inviting you and some others to dinner with me."

"Us?" He asked. "Why?"

"To eat, of course!" I said in a slightly exasperated tone.

He laughed, and said, "No, I mean, why us? Why are you inviting us specifically? I don't think you'll get any more out of us than you would any random person."

I let out a sigh and replied, "I know we don't really know a lot about each other, Fyreous, and I have no doubt that I will forget most of our time here together in time. I'm sorry to say that, I truly am, but I think this is for the best."

I paused for a second and asked him, "Do you want to go?"

He didn't hesitate, "Of course!"

"Great!" I said happily and ended the conversation.

After a few moments, I called Hakutaku and Akane. They answered immediately on video call, they were arm wrestling with each other, clearly drunk, Hakutaku using the strength of ten of the twenty separate identities he possessed in his repertoite, and Akane using the might of a Shogun. Nevertheless, they greeted me casually.

Hakutaku asked, "Why did you call us? Can't you see we're fighting over something"

I grinned happily and said, "Well, since you're both here, I figured that this would be a good chance to have a party."

Akane laughed, "A party? Are you drunk or something?"

"No," I laughed along with her, "I just thought it might be fun to celebrate our time here together, since it's been so short and sweet."

Hakutaku turned serious and asked, "What do you want us to do?"

I shrugged and said, "Just come and enjoy yourselves."

They nodded their agreement and we said our farewells before ending the video call.

And so, the initial planning stage was completed. The day of my reckoning was at hand, and I looked up at the moonlit sky from where I was sitting on the roof of my house. The stars were twinkling brilliantly, as if welcoming me into a new world. I smiled and held my hands over my heart, wishing to take a breath of that new world's air.
