I'll try to keep this short. No boobs either. Heheh

When I joined eIndia in '09, I thought I'd never quit the game. We were fighting for our 'liberation', building a community almost from scratch. As I saw others quit from time to time, I thought 'why would anyone wanna leave this game?' And then after a point, I got the answer. As Prabal would put it, 'Hota hain ... Sabke saath hota hain'. (I'd give a translation, but it doesn't make much sense then.) 😛

The last time I 'quit' the eWorld, back in 2010, I didn't really think I'd ever be back. I felt like I had done my part; played some role, however little, in building India's glory, 'liberating' us from the Iranians & whatnot, fending off month after month of PTO attempts, laying India's foundation brick by brick, citizen by citizen. Though I did feel like I could have 'been more, done more'.

At the time of leaving, I had a lot of new RL projects going; was pretty bored with the game & barring the msn chats (IRC wasn't yet much of a thing for us back then) with David, Shail, Mayur, Navin, Ashwam, Kansu, Abhi, Hari & all the awesome guys back then - there wasn't much holding me back.

I am glad I came back at a crucial time when India needed me; glad to have served her at a time when we, as a nation, had pretty much lost everything - all our regions, our credibility - allies didn't trust us, enemies were all over us & we didn't have much leadership to speak of. Yet we prevailed. I did my bit. Contrary to even my own expectations, I pulled off, (entirely due to the terrific efforts of Graf & Kismu) 4 terms as CP - each as terrible as the one before. How I was ever re-elected beats me even today! XD I thought, 'heck, am not quitting again!'

And again, the cycle came about. After months of fighting the trend, again there wasn't much holding me back. We have moved onto IRC, built a stronger community, regained our standing in the eWorld, seen the likes of outstanding fellas like Graf & Kismu come & go. And I have made so many more friends in between, here in eIndia & outside. Karan, Hemanathan,
Kismu, Suvajit, Sharry, Prabal, Alector, Asmita, Windy, Stoich, Atea, Commius & so so many others ... this list is indeed more than I can hope to put down here. I cherish every one of the guys & gals, with who I've had the pleasure and honor of fighting alongside & at times, even against.

And so it is, that its time to bid farewell again. I have been quite caught up with a family crisis since May this year, along with work pressure and all that. The game has changed too much to hold any more appeal for me & again, barring the IRC community, there's not much holding me back. Not to put a finer point, Hua hain ... doosre baar bhi hua hain. Time to let go ... again. 😑

So it is that I have passed on #india ownership to Hemanathan; distributed most of my assets to active fellas. I'll send the rest of my funds across over the next few days as well, so it goes into helping eIndian newbies as much as possible.

I will try to come on IRC from time to time. I can always be reached on gtalk/mail by those who have my id, if so required, of course. And even today, I still feel like I could have been more, done more. Ah well.



I did say I'd 'try' to keep this short. 😁
