[JS PP-Election] Concession - Forward Together

Day 3,283, 12:09 Published in Japan Russia by shirosakura

At the end of the day, I ran the best campaign that I could. But it's over, isn't it?

When I began this campaign, I had one goal: To demonstrate to the leadership of Jimmin Sensen that there was a sizable population of people in our ranks the desired to see the country move towards peace. And even without the victory today, I know that I've accomplished my goal of forcing this party to examine and acknowledge its doctrine and policies: Do we continue fighting or do we sue for peace? For the first time in recent history, the people of the Popular Front were given an influential choice to decide the direction of the party and our future, and this is democracy at work. This is what we stand for.

For all of those that believe in my cause, I mourn. This war has claimed too many people we have held dear, and it is my utmost wish to see this conflict end as quickly as possible. And even though I lost the election, I still plan to work behind the scenes and in our media area to do what I can to foster peace and understanding between us. Current party leadership believes in the proliferation of two distinct nations, but I believe it is imperative that we do what we can to unite our country, so that one day when the war is over, we will have the foundation for a nation we can all equally love and hope to share.

I leave this day humble of my defeat. The people have spoken, and rejected the platform and ideals that I have stood for. It is now my time to step aside and allow for the will of the people to act as they want it. This is the the true essence of a working democracy, and I'm happy to have run in such a clean and fair election. I know one day we will achieve a lasting peace that this nation will be proud of, and I will not allow myself to pass until one day that peace is achieved.

I will stay with the Popular Front, and I will continue to work and advocate for democracy in any capacity I'm allowed. Our party leadership has a plan for this nation, to one day fight to restore and protect democracy and reclaim the principles that once made eJapan a beacon of hope and solidarity to the entire world. I believe in this vision. I believe united, we have the strength to protect a democratic eJapan from foreign invaders and aggressors. I believe in the potential to once again make our welfare system one of the best of the entire world. Finally, I believe in the future where this party will no longer have a mandate to exist, and people from both sides of our split nation will be able to come together in new parties and new alliances to restore trust and understanding to our broken nation. Democracy would allow us the freedom and the power to make our voice heard, and it is for those reasons I fight with Jimmin Sensen.

But to our President-elect Sauper and our party leadership, I am trusting you all to continue to guide this nation towards the future you desire. I am counting on all of you to uphold the mandate of our party and our people and to continue to strive for our future of freedom.

But until the next time, thank you eJapan for everything. And thank you to everyone who believed in me. I hope we can work together in the future to build a brighter eJapan.
