As you probably know, were in eAustria we are a community made from people in Austria and all over the globe. We may be a small community, but we have a big heart, with a little bit of everywhere here. And also, we have people who had been part of this country and help us to build Austria, and I am not talking about recent years.

Ohhh, no...

Austria have legendary players, which are not with us right now, but their legacy...

...their legacy is still with us.

So I am very happy to talk to you about an old player that had been with us, some of us meet him, and some others, did not... Still, if you meet him, is time to remember, and if you not, is time to meet him:

So, I present you: PrinceOfAustria (Don't confuse with Prince of Austria)

PrinceOfAustria was an old citizen of Austria, and he acceded to have an interview with me. So, here we go...

Hello PrinceOfAustria. Thank you for accepting my offer to do an interview with me.

1. Do you remember how did you found Erepublik?

I was a bit of a browser game freak. I had played oGame quite obsessively, and always enjoyed the economical and political aspects most. Since the warfare aspect of it tended to get quite stressful, I wanted to find a game that placed more emphasis on trade and politics. I spent hours on a browser game comparison site and finally found eRepublik. Didn't take me long to get addicted 🙂

2. What was your first impression of the game? And what do you like the most at first. Do someone helped you to adapt?

I liked that the dynamics were pretty easy, but there was an incredible level of depth to the game because of its social and tactical aspects. In terms of helping me get started, I don't remember concrete names but the community in eAustria as a whole was great.

3. I remember you were very active in the media and in politics, what made you be motivated to be involved on those fields?

To be honest, I had enough free time at my hands back then 😜 and I'm always someone who likes to shape things and take an active role. As I remember it, media was always more a means to push my political career. Which I guess worked out well, since I had some really interesting political positions 😉

4. What do you think people needed on that time for became a politician in a country like Austria?

eAustria then was a small country, everyone knew each other. So it really was a matter of getting along well with people and doing whatever one could to help advance eAustria.

5. On that time, what made you to enter every time to Erepublik ?

The number one reason were the people. I think eRepublik attracts a special type of characters. I even ended up meeting some people in real life. Some of which I profoundly disagreed with politically (far far right), but could have incredibly good discussions with. Secondly, I think it also was Austrias underdog position which made the game very interesting. There were ups and downs, but it was always fun to work with other people to advance Austrias position in the eWorld.

6. In your bio. It says: Proud first follower of Nanoism. Do you remember something about Nanotik that can you share? With the community?

honestly, not much. It must have been 8, 9, 10 years since then 😁 Honestly I was surprised that my profile actually still exists!

7. Today Austria is a mix of some veterans like myself. But also have some people who are new and had contributed a lot in Austria. And they had always hear stories about people like you or Rangeley. There is something that you would like to say to those new people personally?

Ha, it's cool to hear my name isn't forgotten 😎😆 Enjoy the game and don't underestimate the potential it can have for your real life. It's a game of diplomacy, tactics, planning and social skills. All of this is super useful and can advance you personally. So try out different aspects and make the most of it! And of course, have fun and kick Austias enemies asses! 😎
