Good Morning eAustralia,

For the moment, this newspaper will be the temporary home of the Australian Government's Department of Information.

We hope soon the government will be able to get access again to the org eAus Department of Information so we can begin publishing articles there again.

Note: The last time an article was published in that org was on Day 1,164

Today's article is to give you a brief run down in the roles and responsibilities of the cabinet members in the H.Nelson Government.

Prime Minister H.Nelson originally finished as the runner up in the July 5th elections.

However, due to the impeachment of the winner DocterDry a few days ago by the newly elected senate (Vote 15-5), game machanics demand that the next place getter becomes the leader.

H.Nelson's term will run until the next Prime Minister elections on August 5th, unless an impeachment succeeds before hand (as per game mechanics).

The PM has appointed Majester as Deputy Prime Minister[/b] and one of his first tasks was to issue roles and responsibilities of all ministers, as you will see below.

The function is to:
- inform the public about government policy and actions
- promote Australia locally and internationally

The secondary function will be to establish the groundwork for an Australian Broadcasting Company which will serve as a civil service to house journalists to keep Australia informed.

Deputy Minister of Defence: Henry the 8th

The function is to:
- direct civilian orders
- advise ADF of military objectives
- interacting with EDEN and Terra
- establish relations with militia and military units.

The secondary function will be to get an Australian elected into EDEN Supreme Command so that we are better represented.

The function is to:
- compile and administer the budget
- track tax income and expenditure
- maximise government income using markets and companies
- encourage export
- suggest means to ensure a stable local market

The secondary function is to assess the feasibility of and establishing the groundwork for a Director of the Reserve Bank legislation to present to Senate. The Department of Economics will be tasked with most of the daily functions currently occupying Economic (MM trading etc.) and is to establish an Economic Council to assess and review tax legislation and international trade.

The function will be to establish relations with friends, allies and enemies. Part of this will be regular reports on international matters that have an impact on Australia and/or our relations with allies and foes alike.

The secondary function will be to establish the groundwork for a Department of Foreign Affiars which will serve as a civil service to house amabasadors, agents and other functionaries crucial to maintaining Australia's international standing and information of foreign countries.

The function is to:
- vet citizenship applications for recommendation to Senate
- be vigilant of PTO threats and maintian a database of known PTOers
- maintain and establish relations with foreign security agencies
- maintain a network of informers

The secondary function will be to establish the groundwork for a Department of Security which will serve as a civil service to maintain agents, informers, and relations with foreign security agencies. It will also serve to retain skills for hunting and reporting multiple account usage.

The function will be to:
- contact new players and pair them with mentors
- release information on game rules for public education
- guide new players to the forums and IRC

The secondary function will be to establish the groundwork for a Department of Education which will serve as a civil service to house mentors and personnel to contact new players within 3 days.

The Australia Parliament plays home to the senate, where the Senators (Congressmen) that were elected by you, debate and vote on policies that will help govern eAustralia.

To ensure all senators play by the rules and votes are conducted fairly, the senate is watched over by a Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
