{ACP} Introduction to the Australian Communist Party

Australian Communist Party
Communism: Noun; a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.
Hello fellow Australians,
Today sees the launch of a new political party in Australia. With this launch you will soon see grow a new way of looking at the political landscape, a new choice in politics and a dawn of a new era in Australia.
First let me tell you about the Australian Communist Parties...
About Us
An introduction to the Communist Party of Australia
Why we exist; the ideas we believe in
The Communist Party of Australia believes there is a way to overcome Australia's economic and social problems. To do this it is necessary to change the direction of politics in Australia and, eventually, to replace the capitalist system with a socialist one.
The Communist Party is a party of activists who share the same common belief in the desire to better Australia. We come from all walks of life in the RL, but we bind together here at the ACP to try and allow for the growth of eAustralia.
The members of the CPA will work to eliminate unemployment, poverty, injustice, racism and war. Both on the political scene and in the forums and threads.
We work for a society in which publicly owned enterprises will play the major role in the economy. We strongly believe in the government helping out the little people, providing jobs, food and weapons when needed.
We encourage the participation of people in democratic decision making and management.
We want a society in which all people are treated equally and with dignity.
We believe that the needs of the people should be put first and not the wealth and profits of private corporations.
We strive to develop the Communist Party into a party capable of helping to educate, organise, unite and fight together with all the left, progressive and democratic political forces in building a broad people's movement with the working class as its core.
Many demands have been won in the past and we believe much more can be achieved by a movement which is united and determined to stand up for what is right.
The work of Party members and the Party's policies are guided by a set of ideas which are called Marxism-Leninism.
We will support all citizens of eAustralia, whether they are new to the game or 5 year veterans. We believe in helping them grow by supporting them in their times of need. The Communist Party of Australia is on their side.
The CPA has comprehensive policies on most issues. We are happy to discuss them with you at any time.
While the ACP has grand plans for the future, we do realise we are new to the political scene. So in this regard, we plan on taking our time to grow, to reach out to the population, to sow the seeds of a new way of thinking.
Our current plan is to hopefully put a candidate forward for election with-in 6 months. However during this 6 months, we will be running for Congress and also talking with the major parties on the sidelines about our vision and our ideas for eAustralia.
Many of you might be asking yourselves 'Why is Rusty D starting his own party?' as some of you might or might know, I was the PP for the Australian Democratic Party and also CP of Australia. I could of, if I wanted too, steered the ADP into the direction I wanted, however I look at the ADP as one of the bedrocks of Australian political scene. I would never in my right mind want to PTO it and use it for my own beliefs.
While I was in charge of the ADP and continuing into my role as CP, I tried to introduce many civilian assistance programs. Whether it be eHECS, eFarming, Cash for Articles or the like. All these assistance programs bear the closeness to the State providing for it's peoples, hence the desire to set up the ACP, to allow me have a platform to conduct future assistance programs and to hopefully shape the Australian government into more of a Government for the people.
I will leave you with one of the worst quotes in modern history:
"ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." - John F Kennedy
Citizens of eAustralia, you are not here to serve your country, your country is here to serve you!

I'm not sure how I feel about the resurrection of the ACP, but after I half attempted to bring back the PaPP I cannot be one to judge. Good luck.
I am not 100% upto date on the original ACP history and past transgressions. All I can do is assure you that it is new party, new direction and new leadership (all be it a stolen logo and name).
Though you probably don't want it I'm going to tell you anyway (I have time on my hands now) ACP has been around since I started. They started small gained a bit of traction when they finally got a CP (DeanKong) When eIndo PTO'd us.
It died in the butt a couple months later and was resurrected by former PP Chris Carnage (A Lenin-esque figure) almost a year later. It formed a strong party leadership and grew from nothing to the largest party in eAus within a couple of months.
The ACP and ARP were going head to head on everything (ARP at temped to sabotage us many times) before eventually Chris Carnage fell inactive and left the game without any notice. Which sucked because then half the leadership left for the ARP.
We kept it a float as much as we could, but the party was built around Chris. The ACP had its own MU and everything.
They were definitely fun times if TJ can also recall.
I am more then happy to know the past Cal, it will be one of the hurdles I need to get over if I want people to take the party seriously. You should know me well enough that I am not here to cause trouble or cause friction between parties. I just wanted a platform to try and push some of mine and others ideas and schemes with out changing the direction of pre-existing political parties.
On the contrary, I have always believe new parties help in the evolution of our politics. If I wasn't such a loyal KH guy I would probably join you.
My photoshop skills are not too good... I am more of a MS Paint person and then it turns out like a 5 year old drew it.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
buuuuu communist
Not completely communist, but the idea of the State providing for the people is a Marxist/Leninist sort of thing, so therefore it aligns with some of the principles of communism.
nah, it's the same. Didn't like the idea, but good luck with that!
Cheers for democracy
Don't worry Skraus, it wont be a dictatorship, I am all for the democratic freedoms and the ability to question your government with out being led into the ally way and shot.
Hence the 6 months before CP plan. So the people can see and get to know my vision for the party.
"We work for a society in which publicly owned enterprises will play the major role in the economy. We strongly believe in the government helping out the little people, providing jobs, food and weapons when needed.
We encourage the participation of people in democratic decision making and management.
We want a society in which all people are treated equally and with dignity.

Because governments usually do such a good job of running things? Hooray for capitalism. You sound a lot like Barack Obama and look how well that is working out for the United States.
You do realise playing an hour online game is a bit easier then running a RL country.
The ACP was a good experiment in what doesn't work in game mechanics rather than what does. I agree with what Cal said on the success front. Dean changed the landscape of the
Parties at the time that usually held power.
The ACP in the 2010-2012 era also made an interesting development in founding the Coalition of Aus Political Parties. The ACP, KHMC and I believe the Green and Gold (or could have been ANP?) responded rapidly following the fall of EDEN and disagreement with the reigning government on foreign policy and decision making protocols. Senate was left out of a lot and the only chance we had was banding together. We knew we couldn't out vote the reigning parties (supported at then height of the ARP) so our only chance was to build bloc support in the Senate.
The government of the day countered this and - although some may argue differently - dropped support during battles so we could be easily wiped and couldn't contest the congress elections.
As such the Coalition fell away and not long after it, the old ACP.
FLATTTTTYYY
I don't get communist parties in eRepublik (not even in RL, but ok). We do not have problems with unemployment here, people are not poor (they may not have 1000 golds, but that doesn't mean they are poor). The only thing you can do is raise taxes so you can finance large amounts of food, weapons and golds for giveaways and to raise min salary. Nothing else. You cannot nationalize all the companies, you cannot forbid anything. So basically you can help citizens with more donations and you could do that with any other parties. What you are trying to do here is plain socialism and that is not the same as communism. ACP is just a statement of real life believes from people who do not know what real communism is. There is no communism without dictatorship and huge number of political liquidation. You cannot kill anyone here, you cannot nationalize private companies, you cannot remove freedom of speech, you cannot have planned economy. You cannot have anything other then more socialist approach and you could do that with basically any left party. I really do not understand communism in eRepublik, but GL with your plans.
Hi Albeck, firstly you should know that I have never ever taken anything from the government coffers. The schemes I plan to do and the ones that I did in the past, have always been self funded. Even during my term as CP, I paid for the AS and every MPP, with interest, so you will have no fears of the taxes being increased or an increase in government expenditure.
I am completely aware of the differences between communism and socialism (I have a degree in Pol Sci), however this is a game, the term ACP has ring to it, hence why I used it. More people relate to the word communism then to socialism or any other forms of a far left leaning.
And I stated above, my plans are more aligned with the socialist side of things, I can strongly encourage commune farming, I can provide government assistance with upgrades, food and weapons, I can do a whole lot in the position that I am in. The fact this game is meant to semi resemble RL, is the reason I went with the article above, to try and give a real life twist to it.
And as I stated to Skraus, I do not plan on running as a dictator or taking people out back and shooting them.

Good to see active non government orgs.
APP News is a government org, apparently under rental according to old material.
Plato removed private orgs a long time ago. At the end of the day all orgs belong to a government.
🙂 what a new.....
is it a political balancing ?
Sorry, I am unsure what you mean Step Walker?
He's probably referring to the orientation of parties. Realistically they don't mean anything and most PPs set them as such for lulz. There is no real socialist or conservative parties in eAus, let alone many in the game.
and here I was just upgrading my gulags.... oh well 😛
On one hand it's a good time for slave labour in a sluggish e-economy. I suspect GMs running an MU hoping to vie for the Dictator regime will be counting their pennies.
