Today we will show you an interview with someone from the american MoD team. His name is Garmr.

USA was one of our biggest enemy in the past but now we want to show their point of view to our community.


1. First of all, tell us something about you.

I am Garmr, Dutch in RL, 25 years old, studying neuroscience and philosophy, hobbies are weightlifting and piano. Playing erep for about 5 years, been CP 6 times, minister about 35 times in 4 countries

2. Something interesting or particular about your country (RL)?

3. And your ingame country?

We are the only country that has full bonuses in its cores due to the very large amount of regions that were given to us. The amount of regions is currently somewhat unfair, but during V1 it was no big deal so I guess Plato didnt want to bother making an effort to update the regions.

USA has been invaded a lot of times, always during the summer (I was invited to erep through an American at the time of the 2009 invasion), but lately we managed to stop those invasions.

I think USA is interesting because a lot of the population appears to feel really strong about their allies, while the world thinks the USA doesnt. For example, USA citizens fought against USA on the side of Canada last year, and a lot of them refuse to ally Serbia to remain loyal to Croatia and Albania while Croatia fought on the side of Spain earlier.

4. Tell us about your best allies at the moment?

For USA the relation within pacifica is very important. So that is russia, taiwan, finland, latvia, etc. Those are definitely the best allies, but we also work with a lot of other countries based on the situation of the eworld

5. And your worst enemies?

The only enemies we have are the people who attack our alliance members, and they will get all the damage we have on them.

I personally believe there is no profit in having enemies, it is something for noobs who dont understand the game, but that is only me personally and not an official USA statement of course.


6. What do you know about Spain and eSpain?

Spain in RL is great, I have been to Lloret de Mar and Barcelona, ahahaha
The weather is a lot nicer, and when I meet Spanish girls that come to NL they are nicer than NL girls, because they come over and talk to me

eSpain I know quite well, I remember when Peacegc bought the entire Spanish treasury that was stored into a company that was on an org that was for sale. I've talked a bit with Spain when the USA invasion of Spain was happening as well, other than that I just speak with jordic a lot.

7. Tell us something interesting that happened to you in eR.

NL was being under PTO by Croatia and we removed all parties from NL to create a 1 party system. We had CP elections on the forum to determine the in-game candidate. On the day of forum CP elections, my erep political party (Iron & Wine, the best party in the world) had a RL meeting where we drank a lot of beer and then a lot more.

I saw our CP candidate was behind, so we started calling dead players and all kinds of people to log in and vote for him. By the time the meeting ended, I was super drunk on the train with Auggustus, and we got a text that someone on the forum accused us of cheating.

I was super drunk, got out of the train, took a cab home for a lot of money to get home faster, and then started cursing at everyone on irc and the forum. In the end it became a co-CP because our candidate was scared of denying the other party their victory.

8. Can you tell us which are your goals for this month?

Our goal is to consolidate our gains that we made last month while maintaining a base in asia and in europe.

9. We see you are in Cezka Rep. ¿what are your plans in Europe?

So far just maintaining, we are based there in case there will be future threats against our allies.
It is a nice central place close to several powerful nations.

it has been boring to just make sure we keep full bonuses. Now there is finally the possibility for all major powers to get some cool wars going again. Not the endless annoying of small countries for bonuses, now they can fight eachother.

10. USA managed very well in last resource war to get all the tokens, which was the clue to do it so well?

A lot of countries just thought about themselves like greedy little boys, USA made sure to check all other big countries to get a perfect order together for the resources. We also had a lot of help from our great allies to help in battles or send us tokens, which mutually benefited us.

We have good people on both foreign affairs and defense so that helps a lot in getting the best plan going when something happens, we have a great amount of experienced people.

Different people come up with different plans and different knowledge, so it is nice to combine that

Hoy os enseñaremos la entrevista que le hicimos a un miembro del ministerio de defensa americano. Su nombre es Garmr.

USA fue uno de nuestros mayores enemigos en el pasado pero ahora queremos mostraros su punto de vista.


1. Para empezar, cuéntanos algo sobre ti

Soy Garmr, holandés en la VR, 25 años, estudiando neurociencia y filosofía, mis hobbies son levantar pesas y el piano. Llevo jugando a erep alrededor de 5 años, he sido CP 6 veces y ministro unas 35 veces en 4 países distintos.


2. Algo interesante o particular sobre tu país en la VR?

3. Y sobre el país ingame?

Somos el único país con full bonus en las originales gracias a la gran cantidad de regiones que tenemos.El número de regiones es bastante injusto actualmente, pero durante la V1 no era tan importante así que supongo que Plato no se ha preocupado de hacer un esfuerzo para cambiarlo.

USA ha sido invadida muchas veces, siempre durante el verano (yo entré a erep a través de un americano durante la invasión de 2.009) pero últimamente nos las hemos arreglado para frenar estas invasiones.

USA me parece interesante porque mucha gente se siente muy unida a sus aliados, mientras el resto del mundo piensa que USA no es así. Por ejemplo, muchos ciudadanos de USA lucharon contra USA por Canada el año pasado, y mucha gente se negaba a aliarse con Serbia para mantenerse leal a Croacia y Albania y eso que Croacia luchó por España hace poco.

4. Háblanos sobre tus mejores aliados del momento

Para USA es muy importante la relación entre Pacífica. Así que Rusia, Taiwan, Finlandia, Letonia… Esos son sin lugar a dudas nuestros mejores aliados, pero también trabajamos en las relaciones con otros países basados en la situación del emundo.

5. Y tus peores enemigos?

Los únicos enemigos que tenemos son la gente que ataca a nuestros aliados, y ellos reciben todo el daño que tenemos.

Personalmente creo que no se saca nada de provecho en tener enemigos, es algo para los novatos que no entienden el juego, pero solo es mi visión personal no es la postura oficial de USA.


6. Que sabes de España y eEspaña?

España en la VR es grande, estuve hace poco en Lloret y Barcelona heheheeheh
El tiempo es mucho mejor y cuando conozco chicas españolas que vienen a Holanda son más simpáticas que las holandesas porque se acercan a hablarme.

A eEspaña la conozco bastante bien, recuerdo cuando Peacegc compró el tesoro español que estaba guardado en una empresa que estaba a la venta. Hablé un poco con eEspaña durante la ocupación americana. Aparte de eso también hablo mucho con jordic.

7. Cuéntanos algo interesante que te haya pasado en eRep

Holanda estaba siendo toveada por Croacia y borramos todos los partidos para crear un sistema unipartidista. Tuvimos elecciones a CP en el foro para determinar el candidato ingame. El día de las elecciones a CP, mi partido político (I&W) tuvo una quedada VR donde bebimos mucha cerveza y demás.

Vi que nuestro candidato perdía, así que empecé a llamar a los ciudadanos muertos y a todo el mundo para loguearse y votarle. Cuando la quedada acabo, estaba muy borracho en el tren con Auggustus, y tuvimos un mensaje de que alguien nos estaba acusando de hacer tampas.

Seguía superborracho, bajé del tren, cogí un taxi a casa para llegar antes y empecé a insultar a todo el mundo en el IRC y en el foro. Al final acabó en un co-CP entre holandeses porque nuestro candidato estaba asustado de negarle al otro partido la victoria.

8. Puedes contarnos vuestros objetivos para este mes?

Nuestro objetivo es consolidar lo que ya ganamos el mes pasado mientras mantenemos nuestra base en Asia y Europa.

9. Veo que estáis en la República Checa ¿que hacéis en Europa?

De momento solo mantenernos ahí, estamos allí por si hay algún ataque contra nuestros aliados en la zona. Es una buena zona central cercana a naciones poderosas.

Ha sido aburrido solo asegurarse los bonus al máximo. Ahora hay al fin una posibilidad para las grandes potencias de tener alguna guerras chulas de nuevo. No solo las inacabables y molestas guerras con los pequeños países por bonus ahora podrán luchar unas con otras.

10. USA lo hizo muy bien en la última guerra de recursos para conseguir todos los tokens, cual fue el truco para hacerlo tan bien?

Muchos países solo pensaron en ellos mismos como pequeños niños orgullosos, USA se aseguro de revisar el resto de grandes de países para tener el orden perfecto de selección de recursos todos juntos. También tuvimos mucha ayuda de nuestros grandes aliados en las batallas y enviándonos tokens lo que nos benefició a todos.

Tenemos buena gente en defensa y en asuntos exteriores y eso ayuda mucho a conseguir el mejor plan cuando algo pasa, tenemos gran cantidad de gente experimentada.

Mucha gente vino con diferentes planes y diferente conocimiento, estuvo bien combinarlos todos.
