#01 - Interview with Clorofila [EN]

Hi, everybody! Today we are gonna have an interview with Clorofila.

- Who is Clorofila? You are a musician, right? Tell us a little bit about youserlf.

It’s Carmen here, 51 year old woman, professor at University and Institutes and music teacher in secondary schools.. .Like some of you might  know at this point, i am musician, and  spend my time mainly working a lot, and trying to finish my PhD someday. I sing and play many instruments (except drums, just some percussion set). I am originally from Argentina, currently living in a city called La Plata, 50km south capital city known like Buenos Aires. Clorofila is a wacko woman, who enjoys linking music videos in the feeds and shout crazy things, talking there very casual. She finds herself getting into troubles sometimes too, she can’t help it, sadly.

- I've noticed there are some musics about eRepublik. This is awesome. Tell us more about that, how did you have this idea?

Oh that started some years ago, with my former friend RL and player that you probably knew like B O R D O (bordolix).

eR music was the result of teasing a little to admins and to express our discontent with the development of the game. Sometimes we used that to encourage people to send us lyrics to compose songs for them, we started contests and those things. We had participated in the CUS (Culture Secretary) in Mexico where we developed those games and allowed us to meet very nice people around the world too.
I made my solo music for the game and for the fun of it too. I had the pleasure to met some other players who wanted to make music with me and we did it (Dio Pumba, Silent Night, Yanisin, etc). With others we still have unfinished projects on hold, let’s say (Gnilraps, HIghfather, Milanezu) hahaha.

- Your music is not about eRepublik songs only, right? What can you say about your other projects? Give us the links to your music!

With Bordo we started composing together for the game for long time , later, we met RL and connected right away, which resulted in a RL music band called Lamarque.There we did the first mixing and mastering of our music, because we are skillful people (at some point, not perfect fortunately). The pieces need more work which won’t have because the band was dismantled.

At present I have no band and no intention to have one. I am composing for RL things and prolly i will go on stage with 2 more musicians, laptop and a couple of devices to trigger things. But it will happen next year when I finish other stuff I am working on.

- What can you say about your RL country? Is there any recommendation?

Well, Argentina is a country placed in South America, with a blessed variety of landscapes, industry and agricultural production, A country you definitely want to discover in its different shades. You can visit our provinces or Misiones, Salta, Mendoza, Río Negro, Tierra del Fuego, for example, and you’ll know what I talk about.

- Ok, let's talk about the game now. What made you start to play eRepublik?

A former fiancee who left the game after 2 months playing, back in 2009. I stayed and get involved in military, politics mainly.


- What part of the game you like the most?

Politics, i’ve been MoFA or President most of the time, participating in different countries, even being part of HQ in important alliances.
I’ve had the chance to be part of congress in many countries or being in the government like advisor or deputy of something. I thank all those countries who allowed me to be part of their lives. I met wonderful people. Some remain friends.


- You said you are thinking about leaving the game. That would make a lot of people very sad. Why are you taking this decision? Is this the final one or there is something we can do to change your mind?

You are sweet but i don’t think people will be sad, just a few people who talked to me frequently and we have spent time together.

Letting go is necessary. It’s been 8 long years and I am not involved in any project that make me think it’s worthy to stay longer. I was away for a while and last time Old 7, a lovely friend persuaded me to get back. But it was just a delay.
I have my friends in other web messengers to be in touch!


- There is a huge problem about the new ones who tries to play eRepublik. Do you think the game is broken because of packs like Maverick and Infantry? Tell us what you think about it.

The game is broken long ago, the modules are not interesting anymore and people can’t progress. It’s all about money or how to deal with multis to survive and get resources, trying to trick admins.
Some people prolly will say, why don’t you provide ideas? I did loooong time ago,and was useless, people in general here is not listened because those ideas don’t produce juicy incomes for the owners of eR. Simple. Period.

I stayed for friends, I enjoy them, maybe it’s the only thing that has some value here, The rest is pretending we actually have a game.
