Under Pressure? Rainy is running!

Day 734, 20:26 Published in USA Netherlands by rainy sunday

It's the terror of knowing
what this world is about

Hello, I was prepared to present my campaign platform and a brief biography earlier today and then heard unhappy news.

First, I'd like to take a moment to address the illness of a dear and trusted friend, Mr. Arjay Phoenician. For those who know him well, you know he possesses a pure heart and sincere intentions. It troubles me deeply that he struggled in this e-world...but I have great hope that he leaves a bit of himself behind with everyone he has touched with his words. I maintain hope he will make a full recovery and continue his journey of wisdom.

Arjay and I have not always agreed upon issues, but we have always agreed on one thing, RESPECT. If you gain nothing else from all that Arjay has contributed to this world, I hope you gain a little appreciation for self respect. Or in his words, Honor, Nobility, Chivalry, Dignity, Integrity.

Now about me and my hopes for a seat in Congress,. I was approached by several people I consider good friends and encouraged to run this month. I was hesitant and have struggled with the decision for days. I spent a lot of time questioning myself and asking exactly what I have to offer, I am generally shy and not a regular writer, contributor to the media, or very outspoken in forums. However I am a hard-working citizen and I've dedicated much of my time seeking Balance in this New World. I have devoted much time to understanding and practicing game mechanics and I have the well-rounded education required to serve my Nation.

I began my life in eRepublik on June 04, 2009. I spent my earliest days exploring the world beyond eUS borders, studying publications from around the New World. I looked deeply into eRep wiki and, of course, joined forums. I've made a good many friends in my travels and have learned much from each and every one of them.

In regards to political issues, I can assure you, I do not make decisions hastily or without forethought and I am not afraid to seek out information.

My champion cause to date, has been "building bridges." Access to information is important for the future success of all citizens. I work diligently to connect people with the information they seek to make their own e-lives more rewarding. Whether it be recruiting via the Young Socialists Program of the SFP, privately mentoring a lost newcomer, at one point operating a charitable, not-for-profit training business, and most recently, assisting with Meals on Wheels and The Pony Express programs. It brings me great satisfaction to see people connecting and finding their own paths in this world.

For additional insight to my stance on other key issues, I refer you to the platform of my good friend, Phoenix Quinn.

Today, I humbly ask for your vote for Congress representing the State of Connecticut.

I thank you for your consideration.
I thank the Socialist Freedom Party for their support and encouragement.
I thank the USWP for welcoming me and allowing me to run on their Party ticket.
