Please stop the SPAM
certacito
There is a section of the eUK population who really do not appreciate being SPAMMED continuously.
An example of what we are being bombarded with below:

Hi - I’m dropping you a line from TRS about the Congress elections on Thursday.
TRS believes in activity, scrutinising power, and making sure Congress represents all eUK players and works effectively. This is not a view shared by all parties, and certainly not one shared by UKRP’s leadership. Our hope is that you will consider voting TRS in the election to send a clear message about what we should expect from eUK politics.
For any more info, simply drop me a line or check out the below.
Thanks
Kind Regards,
Sambo223
For the record, the leadership of the UKRP certainly does not agree with the doctrine of SPAM. If being active means producing vast amounts of material of little value that we all have to read, then we prefer to be classed as 'inactive'. If scrutinising power means ganging up on anyone who dares to offer a non-SPAM viewpoint - or joining your opposing party to have a quick look around to gain political intelligence, then this is something that we do not condone.
Quoting the words of one of our Party members:
This ain't a prison, if people want to leave for a different community, they are more than welcome. Suggesting our leadership doesn't support activity etc is just clearly disingenuous. Messaging other parties members was considered (for many many years) a no go. Just seems a shame they have to resort to these tactics.
The UKRP remains committed to making sure Congress represents all eUK players and works effectively.

I agree all this is unnecessary and is actually putting people off getting involved more.
Congress is a nightmare!
Media activity and election turn outs would suggest people are getting involved more actually
The newly elected Congress will include the most first time Congresspeople we have seen in a long long time.
There is nothing wrong with parties reaching out to eUK citizens to talk to them, explain what they stand for and ask for votes. That is a big part of eRepublik. Obviously members of TRS feel they have a lot to celebrate about their party and I think that is admirable, and a great catalyst for activity in the eUK.
"So often we look outward for excuses instead of inward for answers"
Good grief man just take the L with some dignity
Thanks for sharing our message of positivity with everyone certacito and adding to the conversation. If people aren't interested they are more than welcome to say so themselves and vote for other parties but I'm sure you'll agree it's important that everyone gets a chance to vote and is aware of their options in upcoming elections. That's what democracy is all about. As for saying it's 'clearly disingenuous' that URKP doesn't support activity you've just posted an article in which you're annoyed that TRS has been active and are trying to talk to people from all walks of life in the eUK.
There has been an increase of spam articles and posts about the amount of articles and posts from the Spamicians with zero sense of self awareness. Subjectively writing articles saying "I don't being forced to read 'material of little value'" is hardly adding value itself.
-- "Messaging other parties members was considered (for many many years) a no go."
Historically the complaints were from relatively inactive parties who happened to suck that month in their own sending of emails and lost a few members at the election.
Every party has had members sending out a message on election day with the message of "If you haven't voted and not sure then pease vote for us... We pledge........" even while other members of their party were complaining about getting a mail from a different party.
And to be honest, a single message into your personal mailbox, is hardly the definition of spam. If they were sending you a mail every few hours then you'd have a point.
Strongly agree with the majority of your points Knee. Well said.
Although I would continue to encourage the "we don't like TRS" brigade to continue to share in the media - discussion is valuable and I would perhaps point out that a number of longstanding PPs have actually been (more) active and producing more varied content now that TRS are leading an activity charge.
Even if they don't agree - that's a win for us. Activity drives activity.
As Vice President I am appalled at this behaviour! - A political party asking people to vote for them?! This is absolutely not on.
I support UKRP what we should be doing do is sit quietly waiting for the eUK to die and defend people making homophobic statements (then deleting the comments and hoping nobody saw them).
If I had your record the last few days I’d be using my paper to apologise the community.
CC,
Thank you for your contribution to the SPAM project of a more active eUK. Your increased article publishing and commenting has been noted, and ties in nicely with our overall aims of getting people engaged.
Keep up the good work!
Lol
Great article.

“ If being active means producing vast amounts of material of little value that we all have to read, then we prefer to be classed as 'inactive'.”
The absolute irony of this comment after posting a single polite message asking someone if they’d consider voting for TRS if they haven’t yet could be the pinnacle of human achievement in recent times.
Good. article, Certa. 100% agree with your comments.
o7
Lol
The horde of TRS is here, thanks for revitalising the activity of eUK... by annoying the other half of the players. I have noticed that for every message to the TRS and party members you get a lot of passive-aggressive comments back.
I think at this point in time, this ia just pure troll and I do not agree with this kind of behaviour.
Oh well, AMD for CP for the fall of eUK
Nah it's summer not fall
Also how dare TRS members respond to an article about them.
Sometimes not even 'passive' 😛
You’d certainly know
*innocent face*
Do you think half is really accurate?
like group masturbating
they believe moral hazard and activation are same meaning
Yes?
No?
Maybe?
It sounds like you're unhappy Certa. Have you considered joining TRS?
