McShootywhat, A Gift from the Gods?
Chuck Button
The past few days have kept me pretty busy. I was out back slicing potatoes and adding them to the project (for several years I had been using corn, and that's what I prefer actually, but we had a bumper crop of potatoes this year, so I really needed to find a way to dispose of those without attracting a lot of bugs), when I just kind of heard the West-end Barn call to me and I had to go take a look.
A couple of weeks ago I had been issued, like everyone else in my Military Unit I assume, a tank-looking vehicle called McShootyface III. At the time I didn't think much of it. I'm used to Government dropping unnecessary and unwanted items in my backyard, and my principle concern at the time was whether I could fit it into one of the out-buildings and then whether I could keep up with the maintenance or whether it would just rust away like that Mitsubishi Slickshooter they gave me back in 2013 -- boy that was a disaster; the sites on the barrel of that thing couldn't find the broadside of a barn, and the tracks just fell off after one turn in the mud.
But anyway, I found room in the West-end Barn for McShootyface III, which I renamed to Bobby X, which is a bit less unwieldy, and I have been able to take it out on a couple of campaigns. It's got a good 827 Harvester Diesel in it, and the sites can find a pack of smokes from about 300 meters.
If anyone else has one of these, and I'm sure plenty do, just take a can of WD-40 to the hinges every once in awhile and some 3-engine oil to the face-plate. Also, try some Marvel's Mystery Oil in the fuel tank. I don't think you can go wrong.
So that's my update on the drop from the Armory (get that -- they actually have the cajones to call that thing an armory). If you have any further advice, leave it in the comments.

I'll add to this, a bit of Dr Bronner's Arnica Menthol Organic Magic Balm can do wonders for the barrel of your cannon.
