Interview with Tef1

Day 3,930, 18:18 Published in Switzerland Switzerland by tef1

Ladies and Gentlemen. Tonight, we will be conducting an interview with the President of The Patriotic Party. We heard he has some kind of news to share with us all. Lets not waste any more time. Lets get on with it.

Interviewer: Welcome.
Tef1: Thanks

Interviewer: We are anticipating a big announcement. I have my ideas but let me allow you to tell us.
Tef1: I am running for eSwiss Presidency.

Interviewer: We were the under impression that you were retiring from politics though?
Tef1: Sorry for misleading you all.

Interviewer: At any event, why the presidency?
Tef1: Our current president has done a fairly good job although I am still confused as to why we still do not have a full cabinet. I understand his Foreign Secretary left eSwiss, mid the term. But, there were a chance to appoint someone else. He chose to not nominate anyone and that is unfortunate.

Interviewer: So are you gonna tell us, who you are going to nominate in the name of transparency?
Tef1: You know, I would. But, it is not that simple. The good news is, there is still 11 days before election day. I will say this: I want a full competent and diverse one. I intend to nominate people from different parties. I am proud of my party, but a consensus government is what we deserved.

Interviewer: Should you not win, are you willing to serve in a cabinet of other candidates.
Tef1: You know, the party I lead is called The Patriotic Party for a reason. The answer to your question is yes, of course. Let it be known, it is the prerogative of the winner to appoint whomever, he or she wants. That said, I am not willing to be in a government position for the sake of it and I need a substantive role.

Interviewer: So all members you will appoint will have a role?
Tef1: Yes. You will not get a position to do nothing. It is not fair.

Interviewer: Last term, you were appointed by the President of SFP as its spokesman but you resigned. Will you do the same, when given the chance?
Tef1: I was honored to have gotten that chance. I have served honorably up until I resigned. I will not do that again. Plus, the people of eSwiss have earned yet another party. It is already in top 5 and has a member who is currently in Congress. I expect we will get one or two more. Three of the four are running.

Interviewer: You are the President of TPP and yet, you have placed yourself at third place in the ordering of candidates. Why.
Tef1: I have served twice before in Congress. I wanted others to serve so I give them the chance by placing myself below the two announced candidates. Plus, I am planning on serving as the President of eSwiss although, I will serve just as ably should be elected to both positions.

Interviewer: You are a clown. Why should anyone take you seriously?
Tef1: You know, no one should take themselves seriously, but they should take their job seriously and I do.

Interviewer: It is a tough road for you to win. How are you planning on winning?
Tef1: well, that hurt my feelings. I am teasing you. Look, I am not naive, it is hard and it should. But, I believe, I will get a fair hearing before the election. I believe in higher wages, peace, and fun, obviously. Who hates that? Look, I have to earn it. I will be campaigning in the coming days and I think, I will win. I am not sure there is anyone, who can have any votes outside of their own party. I can. I am a leader of a Center-wing party after all.

Interviewer: How would you campaign? Positive or Negative.
Tef1: I have a reputation for being the most optimistic, open minded individual in the new world. That will not change now. I will only campaign on what I would do not criticize other's ideas. That said, I have the right to defend my self should any other individual criticize my ideas. It is only fair.

Interviewer: Should we expect, your nominees to be publicly known?
Tef1: I hope so. I am talking to some potential nominees. Nothing is final, yet. When it is, you will know. Some may decide to challenge me before joining force with me, that is fine too. I have ideas. I am not sure of their plans so I better keep my ideas to my self for now. Should any one want the honor, they shall contact me. First come, first serve...... Unless, there is an obvious competence or ethical issues.

Interviewer: By the way, any presidential candidate should contact our paper for an interview. We are already attempting to interview one of your current opponents, we are yet to hear from him. We are still waiting.
Tef1: That is fair.

Interviewer: Any other comments before, we end this today?
Tef1: I hope all of you will vote for The Patriotic Party tomorrow and I hope all of you will also vote for me in 11 days.

Interviewer: Thank you for coming.
Tef1: Thank you for the invitation. It was fun.
