Day 4131

I can just make out the pair of them sitting on the edge overlooking the valley. The cloaks they wear makes them hard to see. Murph muttered something about finding them in a cache somewhere.

Still can't believe these are the same two men I knew so well. The base pranksters along with Andrew always up to something for a laugh.

I'm glad they're not facing me as I prepare our supper. Those cold hard eyes that bore right through you send shivers down my spine. Although I don't think they'll harm me or at least I don't think so.

Yesterday I received a pack of papers from a Turkish airman along with a note to get them to Murph. The captain was quite understanding of my need for a few days off on a family emergency.

I almost wish I hadn't found them....

Was walking when I heard what I thought was an animal in pain and went to put it out of its misery. Would have been better if I had kept walking for my sanity.

Murph and Mick were crouched over something staked out in the grass, and I could see there knives flashing. I realized it's where the noise was coming from. It's what was left of a Bulgarian soldier, still alive barely. The pair of them were using their knives on him.

Mick almost killed me when I shot him only a shout from Murph stopped him slitting my throat.

I went off to get us some dinner while the pair of them read the papers I brought.

Came back to find them just sitting there staring over the valley.

I'll leave early in the morning don't want to be anywhere near these two for long. These men I once called friends are now monsters.

My dear Ellie I hope you never find out what your husband has become.
