Financial Audit and Budget Estimates

Day 4,815, 14:46 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Presidency

Good evening Belgium,

The government wishes to use this opportunity to inform the citizens of the budget estimates.

As you can see from the graph, income has been on a downward trend for quite some time now and this has resulted in diminished reserves and an inability to keep up with the social support programs as they currently stand.

We’d like to present a detailed breakdown of the income estimates on an average of 15 and 7 days. You’ll notice that the 7 day average income has fallen quite a bit. The government has therefore decided to rectify the situation, especially considering that concessions now amount to 2 (excluding the Argentinian deal as Argentina is currently occupied with no regions).

To give each citizen an idea of the estimated income, we direct your attention to the following numbers:

You may notice that we have not included the dictatorship upkeep in our calculations and estimates. These costs will be covered by the current leadership and their own money. Further to note is that these are projections, which may vary over the course of time as a variety of variables come into effect and may or may not align with these estimates.

Taking this into account and considering the high social expenses, such as the BHA and its 400k BEF per week budget; the government has decided on the following budget expenses.

The BHA (Belgian House Aid) will be funded with 400k BEF per month. A detailed breakdown of the program shall follow tomorrow, so please keep a look out for that.

The government is stocking up the NBB-BNB with 100k BEF in order to build up reserves that can be used for further programs to come. For now, the government has decided that building up a reserve is important for the fluid functionment of government. In addition, these reserves may be used to cover any eventual emergencies that may arise in the future.

200k BEF will be used to invest in the monetary market in order to make a profit. The government shall consult with Members of Congress regarding this program.

The remaining 78k BEF will be kept in fluctuation, in the case that the budget estimates and projections differ from the real income and expenses. Until we have a better idea of the average income and average expenses for the weeks to come, the government prefers to play it safe and not risk spending more than is available.

The government will also use part of this funding to pay for the Mutual Protection Pacts (MPPs) which are signed each month.

Thank you very much for reading.
