Nope. PCP wash our hands of him. He can stay with TUP for all we care. He represents himself only.

I have not recruited him to the TUP. I have not asked him to joint the TUP. I invited him to run on our slate as a Pirate, just like I did with Mr Woldy as a Spamican when they were not in the top 5

And the Pirate PP is saying that hes not standing as a pirate, that it was off his own back and that he'd like the pirate name/references removed from the article. I would have assumed that you had a conversation with the Pirate PP before declaring that they have agreed to run with you but maybe that's just me.

So for clarity you've invited an individual and they have accepted and now you have an independent running on your slate.

The disappointing thing is the first we (and I've spoken with others) knew he was standing was when TUP announced he was part of their line up. There was no prior "hey guys I'm thinking of standing for Congress via TUP and then returning post election to be a PCP representative. What you guys think?". The lack of interaction indicating his intention means he is simply acting off his own back and not with any sort of blessing from the party. He may come back into the party but he will effectively be an independent congressman who is residing here.

I made this offer to the Pirate PP, but did not receive a reply. I can't understand why he has reacted so negatively to a genuine offer to give up a position on our list to allow Pirates representation that they have been so unfairly denied. What is the point of party which does not want to be represented in Congress?

It wasn't a genuine. As you commented in your post, the TUP and PCP working together would be a way of getting one over the Spamicans. Your offer was a cynical plan on the basis that 1 x PCP candidate = 6 PCP votes. Six votes would get you the extra seat to replace the seat given up plus the extra 1-2 votes would probably result in a bonus extra seat through the hare quota thing.

Considering your attitude to the party down the years and the gloating about us falling out of the top five, I find it hard to believe you generally care about us being unfairly denied representation.

The fact Bee Jay has stood for another party is not a problem per se. The reason why I say he represents himself and not the party is because he never discussed it with anyone in the party.

You made the offer in an attempt to pick up a few votes that may make the difference in a win/loss article. It's politics 101. I applaud you for it but I simply can't see m'arties falling for it. PCP and TUP stand for two different ideologies!

It was genuine as we have done it loads of times before for small parties and would happily have offered an extra seat to the pirates as well.. TBH if there was any gloating it did not last long 🙂

There is absolutely no way you would have offered a place to the PCP/UKPP in the past. To do so would have gone against your own party's ideology and everything you have cried out for in the past.

I get that it is a political move from time immemorial but the ideologies between the two parties aren't comparable. You've either let in a genuine PCPer (-1 vote to TUP) out of the kindness of your heart or have tried to garner a few extra votes in a desperate cling to the 'We No1" title.

I'd love to see what the discussion between your party was in regard to the matter!

To make it clear this was not an ideological offer it was pragmatic one which would have benefitted both parties. Nowadays there is hardly any policy difference between any of the parties. I am not the only party with a pragmatic alliance otherwise there would not be a Spam party which has a much wider alliance with members of all massively different ideologies

Do you have any ideologies or stances btw? It would be handy to know prior to elections

When you get down to culture then the party most like the old UKPP is the Spamicians. Both parties started small and marginal while TUP was top party and then both rapidly grew on the basis of energy, trying to inject fun and a side dose of minor trolling of the likes of Keith who took offense at any party who challenged TUP as number one party. Relatively speaking, both the Spamicans and the UKPP/PCP act as the anti-establishment parties who challenged the establishment parties like TUP who spent most of the time thinking they'd always be number one. Thinking back to the heyday of the party, I could picture the likes of Wayne and the rest of the Dentists popping into The Spamicians party for a while but only briefly into TUP to make Keith poo his pants and scream PTO.

The party at polar opposite and the one who seemed to have people hating on the UKPP on princie is TUP.

Mr Knee you forget that I was originally from the People's Communist Party which the Pirates took great delight at Trolling and PTOing often being very personal and for me upsetting so much so that I left erep for a couple of years. I was against the merger with the TUP. When I joined the TUP I was never bothered by the prospect of a pirate take over as you didn't have the votes. As to whether the TUP is the elite .. we have no Govt ministers they are all from other parties. The Spamicans are not the anti elite .. they just want to take control, but they are a pragmatic alliance. I am not a fan of the Pirates but after their relegation out of the top 5 I was initially quite pleased, but on reflection it is sad that you cannot get into congress and YES The TUP would benefit, but so would you if my plan had worked you would get 2 seats to our one! Can we continue this discussion between us?

Well that’s a little disappointing and shortsighted. At present we have no representation in Mongress and little opportunity for our voice to be heard.

After the election is over I shall return to the party of six and continue to play the same as I did 3 days ago, unless you are suggesting that you’ve been communicating behind my back? There hasn’t been anything on the party wall for quite a while, so you must have been if you speak for all pirates?
