Communes and the eRepublikan
Releasethe Krakken
In fact when we stopped at communes in our RL History books we was met with a very positive view of them. In fact they were portrayed as RL successes. I myself is working in my own 1 man food/plant producing commune where i do all the construction etc. But why do they work or not work in eRep.
Looking at the commune system its very easy to understan😛
IA have 4 producers all of the other players work for these producers if they want supplies. In a bonus scenario I think the producer gets 1 production of his workers and can produce 1 production of his own. Not bad from his view. In exchange the worker currently gets 10 Q7 Weps the equivalent of 70 IEP.
Furthermore they have a system where they give each player enough food for a day. So we can see in fact that communes has very little to do with communism. In the communist commune the worker got a minimum wage(if they in fact di😛
too lazy too look it up) and then food and shelter. In fact we are currently paying more per day than the workers produce if you take into account the cost of WRM. This is done on the principle of mostly donations where larger players will donate food to the government commune. Yet again in mother russia there was no larger player. So we can see in the communist commune the worker got very little back and the production was send to the State to distribute.
So in fact if we work away from the word commune we can see clearly that eRep communes work because of the better advantages they give players. A semi mogul like myself who produces 2000 Q1 food per day and a few thousand WRM with 12 Q4 Weps etc etc now receives weapons instead of his normal wage which was at my last day of work something like 35 IEP. Therefore I am on a very positive system that will improve my wealth over a few months.
In theses times of warfare there is of course a massive strain on our communes and we need every player to donate.

Wait... so is this article about communes being a good thing? I'm confused.
So am I.
OJshowinghisbutthurt
of course its about showing communes as a good thing. I think a lot of younger players do not know the mechanics of it and therefore avoid because they perceive it as some kind of creation of communist dogma which this article proves is far from the truth.
Great read.
So...Let me see if I got this right...You agree with the methods employed by communism but u feel uncomfortable with that?
if you read the wikipedia article you would see that communes has outgrown its communist roots which is what i said and why i said our communes is in no way a communist creation.
But I know there have been non-communist communes since the mid 1800s and possibly earlier than that. Also if you turn your eye towards Palestine/Israel you will notice that they have successfully employing communes/cooperatives since the 1920s.
Also a 1-man shop cannot be defined as a commune.
who said it was a shop?
but anyway no need to overfact this ....
I think Krakken is talking about eR communes in this article.

I wish i could understand you as this is all rubbish!!
The IA have 3 Commune Holders
All weapons made go to the IA, the Commune holders/producers keep nothing, 100% of all thats made goes to the IA they gain nothing from the arrangement except extra work.
