[CP] When Time Stands Still

It is with great sorrow that I write to you today. Last night, tragedy struck in the real world when a bus filled with young boys from a local town in Saskatchewan was struck by a semi-truck. I will not get into the details, out of respect for those who have been affected and for those who are reading now.

If you have been impacted by this event, let it be known that we as a Canadian population, indeed international population, stand with you in solidarity. It is well known that while we come here to eRepublik to play the game, we often stay because of the community. Know that you have a caring community around you that are willing to talk and listen if you need.

We are all shaken to our cores. As Exalted Druid has said in the national feed, “I think every Canadian grows up wanting to be good enough to be on that bus and following the dream. All way to young.” There are no words to help me express the pain and sorrow that fills me. Not wanting to give in to the cliché, but having no other words to express, our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been impacted.



It is difficult to transition from what has just been written. I also do not do well with making transitions in speaking, and so I will just make the jump to some in-game updates, though I will keep it brief.

Thank you to those who have voted for me. My team has hit the ground running. The Budget has been presented to congress, and they are in the midst of debating it. I am hoping it will be approved within the next day, in which it will be made available to the public. We have also gotten in contact with our closest allies, opening up the lines of communication with them. Battle Orders have been provided, make sure to check up on them regularly before you fight. Wellness Assistance Program is also still running and is now open for even more people to sign up to receive free food.
