[CP] Welcome Aboard/April Financial Update

Day 3,820, 13:41 Published in Canada Canada by Mann551
First of all, I’d like to say thank you for electing me for a second term as eCanadian CP. The votes are still being counted, but if I lose enough votes to not be elected, I believe we have a bigger problem here in eCanada. A good race by all candidates.

Updates

This past week as CP has been pretty quiet compared to the week before.

-We finished our resets with Romania, meaning that we have begun signing MPP’s again. We have signed an MPP with Serbia, Estonia, and Cuba, and looking to sign 1 or 2 more, as per the previous budgeted amount.

-We enacted a Trade Embargo on Argentina. While knowing this has little to no effect on the actual economies of both countries, or their citizens, it is a way of showing that we are unpleased with how Argentinian citizens have been interfering in our Training War with the Netherlands. They have been pushing the walls the wrong way and just generally causing a bit of havoc.

April Finances

This section will be formatted in such a way that Income and Expenses are separated, and item allocation will come first, followed by the amount budgeted, followed by the actual amount in bold. An example:

Presidential Luxury Suite: $50,000 - $0

Where the item allocation is President Thieving, the amount budgeted would be $50,000, and the actual amount would be $0.

Income

Rental Agreements: $235,000 - $235,000
Country Revenue: $175,413.60 - $166,539.01
Foreign Donations: $0 - $80,000

Total Income: $410,413.60 - $481,539.01

We had in total $71,125.41 more than what was budgeted. This is from the $80,000 donation we received which will be dealt with in the next section.

Expenses

MPPs: $50,000 - $30,000
National Armament Program: $120,000 - $14,800
Airstrike: $0 - $80,000
Combat Orders: $0 - $8,397

Total Expenses: $170,000 - $133,197

We had in total $36,803 less in expenses than what was budgeted. This includes the $80,000 spent.

Summary

The $80,000 donation was given to use to cover the cost of the airstrike, therefore it goes in and goes out of our treasury and we didn’t necessarily see any of the money. It did increase our income and expenses by the same amount.

Projected Surplus/Deficit: $240,413.60
Actual Surplus/Deficit: $348,342.01
Difference: +$107,928.01

Overall, we had a larger surplus than expected. This was primarily due to a very large lack of spending on the government side due to the large amount budgeted for the National Armament Program versus the small number of people who utilized the program.

Look forward to a new budget for May coming out soon!
