[CP] Welcome Aboard/April Financial Update

Updates
This past week as CP has been pretty quiet compared to the week before.
-We finished our resets with Romania, meaning that we have begun signing MPP’s again. We have signed an MPP with Serbia, Estonia, and Cuba, and looking to sign 1 or 2 more, as per the previous budgeted amount.
-We enacted a Trade Embargo on Argentina. While knowing this has little to no effect on the actual economies of both countries, or their citizens, it is a way of showing that we are unpleased with how Argentinian citizens have been interfering in our Training War with the Netherlands. They have been pushing the walls the wrong way and just generally causing a bit of havoc.
April Finances
This section will be formatted in such a way that Income and Expenses are separated, and item allocation will come first, followed by the amount budgeted, followed by the actual amount in bold. An example:
Presidential Luxury Suite: $50,000 - $0
Where the item allocation is President Thieving, the amount budgeted would be $50,000, and the actual amount would be $0.
Income
Rental Agreements: $235,000 - $235,000
Country Revenue: $175,413.60 - $166,539.01
Foreign Donations: $0 - $80,000
Total Income: $410,413.60 - $481,539.01
We had in total $71,125.41 more than what was budgeted. This is from the $80,000 donation we received which will be dealt with in the next section.
Expenses
MPPs: $50,000 - $30,000
National Armament Program: $120,000 - $14,800
Airstrike: $0 - $80,000
Combat Orders: $0 - $8,397
Total Expenses: $170,000 - $133,197
We had in total $36,803 less in expenses than what was budgeted. This includes the $80,000 spent.
Summary
The $80,000 donation was given to use to cover the cost of the airstrike, therefore it goes in and goes out of our treasury and we didn’t necessarily see any of the money. It did increase our income and expenses by the same amount.
Projected Surplus/Deficit: $240,413.60
Actual Surplus/Deficit: $348,342.01
Difference: +$107,928.01
Overall, we had a larger surplus than expected. This was primarily due to a very large lack of spending on the government side due to the large amount budgeted for the National Armament Program versus the small number of people who utilized the program.
Look forward to a new budget for May coming out soon!

Congratulations on your victory. The financial reports are quite good and I agree with sending a message to Argentina to express our displeasure, even if it will do nothing practically.
I find this a little hard to read. Maybe put it a chart then take a screenshot next time if you can't figure out a way to embed it.
All charts have been redacted for national security reasons as have all expenses under the hookers and blow category. Thank you for your understanding.
I found this easy to read. I like it ;3
Thank you for this awesome article
"Overall, we had a larger surplus than expected."
My requirements of any financial report are quite simple. Did we end up with more than we started with? Yes = YaY! No = WTF?
Nice financial report. I have some questions, if you don't min😛
- I'm wondering why the actual country revenue was less than what was budgeted. Although we are happy that we received unexpected foreign donations (but if money enters and leaves the treasury entirely without us seeing it - it could have been one dollar or a million to that matter), in reality our income is $8,874.59 less than what was budgeted. Care to elaborate a little more on why we are earning less money than expected? (lower income from taxes? increase on citizens deaths? lazy people not working?)
- What are you planning to do with all that surplus we are not using? Saving it for programs that citizens are not using is just another way to waste it. At this point you could just buy that Presidential Luxury Suite for $50k, at least it will give some use to that money and perhaps some work for the decaying housing industry.
Keep up the good work. Hope to see the new budget soon.

The budgeted amount was based on the average daily income from the month or so before hand. I have noticed over the last month that the average wage is decreasing which means that the taxes we bring in from people working as manager might be decreasing. This could be a possible explanation. I am not able to say with certainty what the cause of the drop in tax revenue is caused by.
The surplus is saved away and will be used in the future for combat orders should Canada ever be attacked, or should we choose to engage in a serious military campaign.
Thank you for your questions, I always welcome them
Excellent article. As one who “did” use the National Armament Program, was wondering if that will be back, maybe a monthly thing ? If financially feasible, of course. 😍😍🍻🍻
National Armament Program will not be back this month on an official basis, though Derakor might choose to continue running it himself. What will be making a re-appearance is the Personal Development Grant that we saw during EZStreet's time as CP.
Ok, that will be great! BTW, am willing to trade gerbils for weapons !!! Seriously, we had misidentified a male as a female, and today we found their pups! Not so bad by itself, but when you add the 22 gerbils we have already ...... trying to rehouse, may neef to give the owls some snacks tonight.
Excellent article. Keep up the good work!
