[CP] War Update

Hello troops


When I got elected as a President I had a feeling this might be a dull and boring month, but now, after only three days it’s obvious that we’re going to have a lot of fun fighting for our cores and our allies. The amount of support we’ve been getting on a daily basis by our allies either through guarantees they’ll be there for us if needed or simply through hits and fights when it was needed are the proof that we’ve chosen the right way to go all these years. It wasn’t easy to develop a community on the weaker side, but we managed that too. Hats off to you, soldiers of the Republic!




War update


I’ve started this term by contacting the President of UK, Huey, who has been nothing but a great person to talk with. We shared our ideas, our plans and we agreed over numerous things. Both of our countries have different goals, allies and plans, but in the end we’re the closest neighbours and considering the size of us, we need to maintain the communication between our two countries regardless of the alliance affiliation. Our military goals haven’t changed much since eIreland has been added to this game. We built our country on the republicanism and it kept many players motivated to fight and have something to log in for. United Ireland was, is and will always stay our main goal. It’s fair to say that this kind of goals are something that attracted many various people to this country and what brings more every week.

We were very close to reach a deal with UK that’s beneficial to the both country and the talks on it are still ongoing, regardless of the current war in our regions. UK isn’t the main enemy in this whole story, they’re just another country that doesn’t belong to the strongest set of countries in this game. We can put aside the fact there were numerous things going wrong between us through the history of our relations, it’s not something we should be hostages of. Our main enemy in the region are the big countries that like to pick on the smaller ones.




The Loud Bullies

I woke up yesterday after a long nap to see some strange shouts (main one being posted above) and laws. Considering our negotiations with UK I expected things to go smoothly in our area, but out of a sudden Northern MKD declared a war on Ireland. Before this law happened Croats have proposed Airstrike on Australia and DoW on NMKD.

What I found out later is that NMKD has announced their intentions to leave Australia after the determination in Aussie grew too big for them to hold them up. Australia then decided they’d look for another TW partner, but NMKD didn’t liked the idea since the new partner didn't suit their ideas, so they made ultimatums and all the other thing that usually goes with the northerns. Threats, insults and other stuff. They actually wanted to command Aussies what to do with their own regions. Considering that Australia doesn’t have more than 10 active players that was really sad to see from once big & strong country like NMKD indeed was. Northerner’s behaviour stressed out many people including zdlemmy, one of the Croatian military leaders who instantly proposed AS on Australia to help them to get rid of the occupators.

In a weird set of events, NMKD somehow concluded we’re to be blamed and responded on Croatian laws by declaring war on - Ireland. It was already funny enough to see that happens, it’s a complete lack of knowledge how to play this game and another proof of what kind of bullies they are. Slua informed me couple of months ago that NMKD wants to attack us, so we knew this is going to happen soon, we were prepared for it. The shouts like the one above followed this, have to say, very stupid decision by the northerners.




Strategy & reckless bullies

I’m not entirely sure if anyone from NMKD actually checked the map, maybe they were too busy farming the medals in lower divisions with their multi accounts, but they missed several obvious things, so it was fairly easy to counter their actions with a simple piece of play. Considering we faced several threats, firstly from Bulgarians and then NMKD too, we’ve got Croats for a ping pong fun since they had a region in USA that borders Shannon. The original plan was to keep them close and keep our war active, in case of loud dogs of Asteria decide to turn their focus on us. Croats were, as always, very happy to help out.

NMKD probably missed the fact Shannon borders Northern Ireland (even though it doesn’t seem like that if you just take a look at the map) and still went on us by taking Scotland. The blue arrow on the map shows the Croatian advance through our regions. Croats simply wanted to fight the northerners instead of us. They are much more similar when it comes to firepower so that was a natural move. The red arrows on the map above shows borders between Ireland and NMKD. Considering that Hungary was already here and we were having a TW with them it didn’t take much until Huns closed our borders. Our TW proceeds normally, as originally planned and our borders with Wales region (that’s being held by NMKD) are closed.



The Fast Bullies


It took us several really simple strategic moves to close the southern border and create a real challenge for the bullies. It all started with Croatia proposing NMKD as a NE, so it was meant to finish the same way. NMKD decided to take it on Ireland instead on someone from their own league, but their thinking was too fast, just like their running out of Scotland to close the border with Northern Ireland that will soon belong to Croatia.

Fast thinking, fast insults and fast running has made the northerners the biggest clowns of the day. Croatia is probably disappointed for the lack of opportunity to fight them on two fronts, but I’d still like to thank our bro’s from the bottom of our heart. Not only Croatia offered help, we appreciate all the countries that offered to help Ireland. USA proposed NE on NMKD, Egypt proposed Australia as AS target and we had several more allies on standby in case of something doesn’t go as planned. I won't name them for obvious reasons, but they should know we really appreciate it. It’s always good to know someone is there for you and our brothers from CODE surely made that clear to us in the last couple of days.


All of this shouldn’t affect our negotiations with UK and we really hope to see them making decisions as a sovereign country and not dictate by the others, like many other smaller communities are. Not entirely by their fault either, sometimes that’s just the easier way.

Oh and, feel free to support RW in Shannon, it’s okay to link our production regions again. As mentioned, TW with Hungary goes as planned, we’re to win Dublin battle now. After many months of waiting for them to fulfill their promise, seems like we’ll have to wait for a bit more to - ‘burn in hell’ because the northerner’s mouth seems to be bigger than their actions say.
