[eRep Update] Deploy option - demistified :)

Dear eWorld,

This article is intended for all of those who maybe didn't still have a chance to use Deploy mode here on eRepublik, as I recently heard that there are still some of you who didn't try it out.

As you probably already noticed, from 8th of February 2021 (D4829) Plato decided to leave only 1 option for fighting - and that is Deploy mode.

How to use Deploy mode?

Easy 🙂
You have few options on the Deploy pop-up window. You can:
1. Use the slide to determine how much of your energy you want to use
2. Write down manually to the box on the right
3. Use Max button (to use max amount of Energy bars / candies / carrots etc, with a not that there is a system limitation to 50 per Deploy)
4. Use Food button to fight only with your energy (and not energy bars)

How to shoot with wep or without wep?

If you shoot in ground or air, and you have some wep on your warehouse - your deploy will automatically switch to shooting with biggest Q of the wep you have.
You can easily change wep or select first box - to shoot without wep 😉
(which I advise in EPIC battles for example 😉)

How to get Bazooka parts now?

Answer to this question I don't have.. 🙁
We could get bazooka parts only when using manual Fight mode, not in the Deploy as well.. maybe this will also change on 8th of February.. We will see..

How to make certain amount of kills?

Those who hunt Freedom Fighter, Mercenary, and need to be careful when making kills for Daily Orders - is not so difficult as well 😉

You can see the Estimated number of kills that will be made with the energy you decided to spend (this information is noted between damage and time needed for deployment to finish with the energy amount you selected)

Note: 750 energy will give 25 kills (Air battle, no wep used). Approximately 😉

Sorry, I published it by mistake while was still not done.

Then 2 times did everything but got that evil timeout and lost everything again..

So 3rd luck - and definitely a decision to never again write articles directly on eRepublik, but instead (like I usually do, but I wanted to be fast this time hahaha) write it locally in Notepad++ or on google docs, and then come here and publish it 😃

This even applies to comments. Often I solve the captcha, then start writing a comment, but when the captcha refreshes the page reloads. I agree, anything longer than a couple sentences needs to prewritten!

By the way, 750 energy are usually 25 kills 🙂
I use that for complete the dairy orders in my MU and do not do overkills (Or to avoid taking medals that I don't want to take)

This is an excellent guide to help people understand deploy mode.

Unfortunately, fight is disappearing. Fight mode had it's benefits and uses as well. Deploy also has it's benefits. I liked the double system so I could do lots of damage without having to click all the time (epic fighting) but fight button was useful for doing exact amount of kills and small amounts of energy over a large number of battles.

Yes, I agree that was nice to have options..
But we will get used to Deploy only as well..
And good thing is that this will at least be a little step forward towards removing all those non-humans from the game (and the battlefield) 🙂

This kills calculator just gives Estimation.. I usually had to make at least 1 more kill manually when I would use Deploy for FF or Mercenary.. but as Yhamilitz noted, 750 energy (no wep) is usually 25 kills 😉
So we will get used to use the manual setting for the energy this way 😉

what if i dont want to deploy. core principle of human software interaction is that users prefer feeling in control and that one gather feedback from all stakeholders before making major changes. why do i feel that its a ceo and a bunch of programmers only.

In my 2+ years here I heard so many times similar or exact to this few sentences:
This game is dead.
This game is dying.
I will not play anymore.
I don't like this change, I don't like that change.. I don't like this, I hate that.. 😃

Well, let me tell you smth.. Who wants to stay, will stay.. no matter how the game works/looks or will work/look.. cos those who stay eHere, stay because of people they have met.. and not some lines of code that Plato approved (or says is forbidden to use, but still allows it, which is even worse imho)..

So I plan to be the one to kill the lights one day when that really happens (and I don't care if it will be in 3 months, 3 years, or 30+ years 😃 - we never know what the future brings 😉)

I see eRepublik as the biggest social experiment I have ever been a part of.. And few months ago I heard another great description - 'social network with the elements of the game' And yes, I like the game. The first and biggest eLove here for me was (and still is) Media module..

If I didn't like eRepublik - it wouldn't be the only game I play 😃

i will probably stay but i sure as hell wont fight. and the change won't stop some people from using a script so plato isn't really making a change. and if you plan to be the last one here that's kinda sad because you will be surrounded by bots and multies who are managed by a cloud

I have been loyal to eRepublik as a browser game since i registered my account. But recently i've created account in other browser games. I keep playing, but loyalty to this game i don't give anymore.

eRepublik may get died and buried whenever admins want: i will not care and the game will not be a miss for me. The feelings i had for this game died in december of last year.
