The Greatest Loss
My personal hero is gone. I'm traumatized. HankScorpio the Magnificent has decided to leave eRep. This is a sad day for everyone. Have you seen my avatar lately? It's Hank's with a heart on it. A penguin bowling heart.
For those of you that don't know, HankScorpio is directly responsible for the recent Russian vs. USA wars. He attacked the United States, activating it's MPP sets as well as attacking Poland and China. It was a big shake up in part of eRepublik. Few other people have had effects reaching as widely as his.

Admin Intervention and Eastern Siberia
Let me say this, I honestly am critical of the admin. I try and look at it as fairly and unbiased as possible. The admins intervened in and repealed the war between Serbia and Poland, they also gave China back Eastern Siberia.
I believe this is the right call, as it is the same as they did with Poland/Hungary in regards to Podolia. However, this isn't truly fair. Everyone should have their money refunded. It's simply not fair that people (mostly Phoenix) blew all their gold for nothing.
I actually do feel bad for Phoenix, it's just not fair for them. Gold means just as much to them as it does to us.
Ok, I'm done being un-American. Time to chant against Phoenix.
A resistance war has been opened up in Eastern Siberia. This is an important region for China. Be sure to fight there if possible.
A (Nearly) Whole Country
I just noticed that Croatia reclaimed another one of their regions. I'm happy, only Slavonia remains. I'm sure we'll be ready to jump in and help our bros. The battle for Slavonia will be a big one and it's one I'm going to be happy to participate in.
I can't wait for Croatia to be whole again.

I disagree. Knowing you won't get your money back if you exploit bugs will make presidents in the future think twice before pushing that button again, it's a small price to pay to teach people a lesson
We may need a corridor through Serbia to properly unite Croatia with Kosovo. But the Serbians are a reasonable people; I'm sure they will understand.

Only problem is that the war between Serbia and Poland was opened due to A BUG - at 24.08. - and we didn`t know is is a bug or not - the rules in v2 are changing constantly. So we didn`t attack for whole 4 days *(FOUR!) and admins did nothing to show us that this is a bug.
Then, AFTER all fair victories and 4 days of battles - and we won all of them except Tibet *(we forgot that we need to finish it before FER) - admins decided to reroll all battles that we won.
So they needed 7 days to react on their OWN bug. In Podolia and Slavonia before IT WASN`T like that.
Podolia and Slavonia were opened not by a bug BUT by a Polish hacker who hacked accounts of 7 Phoenix presidents, took our govt gold, destroyed our govt companies and stocks, and made our countries - Serbia, UK, Hungary - to attack each other *(in chain reaction via MPPs) so after that wars opened and Poland attacked Hungary *(which had no MPPs) and Croatia attacked Serbia in Slavonia - for free.
But that`s not only difference - Slavonia was stopped in the MIDDLE of battle, Podolia was stopped too. Romanian attacks were stopped too.
AND AGAIN despite the rules of banning people who exploit irregularities Polish president, Romanian president, and Croatian president were not banned - although at least one of them *(Polish president) publicly announced in national newspapers that he knows that Hungary was under hacker attack, that admins are solving it. So - THAT was obvious cheating *(from Polish hacker) and malicious acting *(from Polish president).
So, tell me again - how can Podolia and our battles in last 4 days can be the same scenario?

@ Pokac: arguing that rules are constantly changing is completely ignorant, don't play dumb. There has never been even a word about DoW rules changing and you fully well knew that what you did is illegal by game rules but you didn't care because somehow when you cheat it is completely fair and justified
It took admins almost a week to react and fix what hacker did to Hungary and other Phoenix countries, closing Slavonia battle in the middle of it wasn't spontaneous decision, they were in the middle of fixing results of hacking (that started happening over a week ago) when Podolia and Slavonia battles were taking place, if they had been conquered, I assure you they would've been returned to Hungary/Serbia same as ESR was returned to China

I'm against all cheating, it's ruining the game. Cheaters hold no national identity to me, and thus should be easy prey for all to bash.
I think anytime a province is given back due to it being taken unfairly, i think everyone should have their gold refunded and essential revert things back to the way they where before the attack.

Hank was my favorite Russian, I had secretly hoped that he was human, or at the very least, he was Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and he came back to help us.
