What does it feel like to defeat a Political Take Over?

Dear Friends and Citizens,

It seems that lately, for me at least, but I suspect for our nation as whole, eRep has become a struggle. The economy has become a massive grind. Taxes are too high. We have a two front invasion to deal with. One of our oldest and most loyal allies decided to sell us out for damage. Even the past several Plato run contests have seemed deliberately stacked against us. I don't even need to mention the political invasion of our country that has been underway for well over a year now.

It is easy to get discouraged.

It is easy to get frustrated.

It is even easy to throw your hands up in despair and walk away from it all.

That's how I felt looking at the party line up this Monday on the 23rd. We were 48 hours from the election and had a 200+ citizen gap. We knew the American Freedom Alliance was propping up its party count with multis so suspect they couldn't use them to vote (because they'd be banned), but could use them to inflate the party numbers.

I sat in the White House with the cabinet discussing potential solutions to this seemingly insurmountable problem, when Melissa Rose and I devised a strategy she had been toying with for the past several months. Typically we only have about 2,500 Americans in a political party, but we can see on our country page that we have about 6,800 living citizens (hypothetically) at this time. Talostastic was able to do the grunt work and dug up some numbers to put together a large list of citizens that weren't in a political party. We sent them a message asking them to help us secure the Top 4 parties in exchange for some tanks (generously supplied through private donations from citizens like yourself to the ATO Fund), and we got a tremendous response rate.

Then a miracle occurred.

Artela became Party President of the American Freedom Alliance.

Due to the unexpected nature of that development we weren't able to candidate anyone else for Congress except those who had already declared as part of their standard ATO procedure sitting in the AFA. We sent another PM. This one to almost every American Citizen and asked them to vote for any part except the AFA.

The result? Spectacular.

For the first time in almost eighteen months we finally have a secure Congress. The victory we achieved yesterday is difficult to understate, and combined with the previous anti-take over efforts in the American Freedom Alliance dealt real and serious harm to the political take over efforts of Ajay Bruno and his Serbian allies.

I wrote this piece to share with you the experience I had while running ATO efforts for almost 48 hours straight prior to election day. I cannot thank enough the people that assisted in that venture, in particular Talostastic, Melissa Rose and Mazzy Cat.
