Weekly presidental rapport [1]

Day 2,220, 14:17 Published in Japan Denmark by Kitarou

Citizens of eJapan!

Here is the long awaited weekly rapport from the Presidential Office, explaining what has happened in the past week!

Culture and History:

You may have been wondering what has happened to Empress day and the other cultural events there were supposed to happen after every month. Empress day, followed by the Asian Song Contest, is usually published around the 12-13th after every presidential elections.

DankChronic is currently very busy in real life since Christmas is coming up so I have appointed Yagami Mii to take over the job. However, the due date of 15th December has passed on the Asian Song Festival and so we are no longer able to conduct it. Please accept my deepest apologies on this matter. Luckily though we were still able to conduct Empress Day. Please click on the link to be taken to the article.

The Imperial Household is well on its way to being re-established! More information and discussions have been put up in the national forums. Voice your opinions!

Education:
An article explaining some of the basics of the Japanese language and its different types of characters has been published as a substitute to Kantaaa's work (Minister of Education and Security)

Cick the Image to be sent to our first Japanese Lesson. More education articles are set to come out!

The current immigration law has gotten a little rusty and needs to be reviewed.
Therefore the current law and immigration system will be modified and sent to voting. I would like to urge congress to carefully look through the proposal before giving their decision.

Starting next week, weekly financial reports will be published. This will give citizens an insight into how the government is using money and for what.

Several ministers are either too busy in real life or have proven to be inactive these days. As such I have appointed a vice minister to take care of the current pile of tasks on their desks. The changes and replacements in the cabinet are listed below:

Vice President: Masaharu Homma

Minister of Culture and History: Yagami Mii

Vice Minister of Security: 2DG

Vice Minister of Education and current Minister of Internal Affairs: WilliamOfEdenbury

Minister of Communications, ahava3233 is stepping down due to personal reasons. We are currently looking for a replacement to take over her duties.

Negotiations with Taiwan:
The result of the negotiations with the eRepublic of China (Taiwan) has had a less than satisfactory outcome. Negotiations have broken down and at this time we are not likely to see any further talks or the reacquisition of our regions by diplomatic means. However hope is not lost and the government is working hard on this issue.

That said, the first week has been rather bumpy because of delays, inactive ministers (Darn you, oh demanding real life!) and difficulties with communications between the ministries. This is understandable because of the time of year, but we are making changes that will make up for the aforementioned pitfalls.

With the new changes in the ministries, I sincerely hope to give eJapan a kickstart!

Signed,

Kitarou Yuki
President of eJapan
