The day that infin would be promoting an article from a certain government..
Funny how the Australian government policy was working up till about 3 years ago.
Welcome to Honiara!
I don't think these refugees plight & Australias embarrassing policy regarding them should be used to troll in eRep imo.
Send em to NZ, we'll help them all we can & when they get citizenship we'll send em off to Aussie all legal like🙂
Hey CC, I agree with you in regards to the plight of the refugee's, but I see this as just a jab at Indo invaders, not a comment on RL politics.
I personally have met several refugee's (who came by boat) from places like Iran and Sri Lanker, and they are hard working, honest people who have been through incredible trauma, and we treat these people like criminals when we have 50k people overstaying their visa's every year, which we do nothing about.
Who will work now in Australia while the real Aussies enjoy their welfare????
At this rate single moms might actually have to get a job.... what has the world come too!!!!
quick question, did the first fleet have a visa to settle in Australia?
no they had cannons.
so if boat people came as conquerors you would be fine with them coming but because they come as peaceful and wanting to integrate into our society you dont like them?
seems legit
Australia is a modern country with borders. If we can't decide who comes into our borders then we should just give the whole game away. Nice totally useless analogy with that first fleet thing too.
so you think we should prosecute people who have 2 choices, die or risk coming to Australia?
you sir are a moron, the reason they are people coming to Australia is because we have the reputation of being both rich and friendly, (not a bad reputation to have)
you are changing that reputation from a good one to a bad one, those racist and greedy Aussies, they have it incredibly well but force people to their deaths rather than immigrate to Australia.
you dont understand clearly that the problem is not people coming to the country but that the government should not be spending tax dollars on giving them free stuff, that i would agree with you on. you are misdiagnosing the problem. and thats why i find your view disgusting.
they are coming out of sheer desperation: yeah right. http://www.2gb.com/gallery/photos-christmas-island
ohyeah you are right, wearing clothes suggests they are rich right?
its not like the world is industrialized and these people are coming from countries that actually produce our clothing....

The local tribes never had rules like Visas for entry. It's a moot point virtually every land has been colonised or conquered, some as recently as in my lifetime, that is far more recent and therefore matters a lot more. Let's not get the Kleenex out over the history of the world political map.
Captain Arthur Phillip, esquire
You see there was this thing called THE BRITISH EMPIRE which just happened to be the biggest the world had ever seen, any there was this ..................... and..............it.....................
did those arriving in Indo have a visa for Indonesia before sailing to Australia? Why not turned around in Indo or have a processing centre in Indo BEFORE they risk their lives.
Indonesia has 240 million people, do you honestly think their inept RL government can do all that?
2 words terra nualis
The High Court found in the Mabo case that Terra Nulius did not exist in Australia. That is why they described the concept of Native Title.
It did at the time the definition was that land was to be worked crops etc labour be invested into the land
The ruling in regards to Mano is that there was a system like the torrents system where the Torres straight islanders put rocks at their boundaries
[removed]
There is no offence under Australian law that criminalises the act of arriving in Australia or the seeking of asylum without a valid visa
after the fact the law in Australia has no native content and it is a ruling by the high court traditionally it should have been applied at the inception of british law
Nigerian email scams contribute to 205 of the GDP of that country how much do you think illegal boats are worth now even more overcaitalised as it is a vote getter each ARBRI commander has their finger of the pie of their region
till 2007 less than 1% arrived by boat now it is over 51% persecute the smugglers but the last thing is Australia giving up sovereignty of its waters and releasing waters to international waters or relinquishing protectorship stop knee jerking less than 1% of asylum seekers and refugees will find a home each year what you see isn't even a significant number
the incidence of farmers on the land committing suicide the lack of industry in rural centres all alarming not even a byline in a paper
20% sorry
