This morning, Asturias was secured by France, after a battle in which the wall oscillated from negative to no mand's land in a few hours on Wednesday evening due to the pushing of PEACE tanks. However, the cost for retaining Asturias this time was extremely elevated, particularly for France and PEACE. The tactics employed by Spanish Guerrilla, not fighting at Galicia and attacking early in the morning benefiting from double-hitting 5+5 hospital attacks spared them a lot of money and was tough to recover by the occupying forces. Indeed, it was also a key factor in the liberation of Quebec and Texas.
Let us check how France spent part of its gold yesterday. We will take the Banque Centrale Française just as an example ; the amounts mentioned here are presumably just a fraction of the gold spent by France, since the money moved by other ORs or through the monetary market is not computed in the following comments. One may think also about the cost in GOLD to make it, and if that money was correctly spent or not. For instance, it seems really surprising to consider a player with maxhit 193 as a tank and give him 80G and weapons; in most armies, usually maxhit over 300 is requested to be considered as potential candidate to tank (and even so you'd need more than 340 to be consdered a real tank).

Could this strange way of spending gold in weak tanks have caused the fall of Quebec? Hard to say, since we do not have access at this moment to the battle statistics, which could tell us if France put their best efforts in Asturias or Quebec. However, it's quite significant that the French president, meza, decided to employ the public resources donated to him in getting a battle hero at Quebec while during the most part of the day the order given to their citizens was to fight in Asturias. No need to remind that Quebec was lost by France.
Appart from the money spent in tanking, Matthieu Bonne received more than 200 G from Depot Defense 1, which final destination is not directly traceable through donations. The only relevant donation in the last hours is 1000 FRF (near 30 G) towards what seems its personal OR, Famille Faynel-Bonne.
