The Federalist Way- p/h

Day 1,766, 07:31 Published in USA USA by fingerguns

Due to the recent game changes, the Federalist Party has been flooded with new members! Some of them are only temporary- patriotic volunteers defending our nation from PTO. Others, however, are permanent and we are delighted to have them!

What people know about the Feds is that we are proud/horny. I want to explain what that means and how we got that way. I'm certain that our new members will soon be shouting p/h themselves.

Proud/Horny is not about being both proud and horny in varying or even equal measures. Oh no. Proud/Horny is about being so proud of your party in your heart that you feel it in your pants. How does one develop boner inducing pride? It's all about the Federalist System, which in our opinion, is how all parties in the eUS should operate.

Newb focused- Surely you've seen someone, somewhere complaining about the 'elites' in this game who operate in the upper realm of national politics and just trade jobs from month to month. They've served in Congress month after month and held a slew of positions, often simultaneously. This is very much a reality. While there are certainly Feds who have reached the upper rung and served well there for some time, ours is not a party that leaves everything in the hands of a couple people and is content for the rest of our members to obediently serve as zombie voters.

How new players and new members fare in our party is a reflection of our strength as a party. If newbs aren't doing well, the party isn't doing well. Nearly all of our departments are centered around newbs in some way. Whether it's showing them the ropes of eRepublik, directing them to valuable resources, or giving them a home where they can feel immediately comfortable, The Feds have always believed that serving new members is one of the most important roles of any political party. If not THE most important role.

Opportunities- What good is giving newbs an education and a place to hang out if there is no way for them to ever advance? For so many of the 'elites,' they caught their break after only a few months of playing. How many new players today are given an opportunity to break into national politics or excel in anything but military units in their first year? With these new changes to the political module, the biggest concern for people is that Congress will grow even more stagnant than it already is. That's a very real concern, and the only way to avoid that happening is for parties to give newer players a chance and turn down older players once in a while.

It seems unlikely to happen, sure. Why would the PP allow anyone but their close friends who have served month after month to even attempt a Congressional run? If the party is a newb-focused party that believes in giving people opportunities, both within the party and on the national level, then it would seem they have a responsibility to reserve at least one of their top spots for a newer player that has proven themselves in the party to take a shot at Congress once in a while. Moving up through the party to move on to even bigger things is what it's all about!

There are so many jobs to do beyond Congress, however. You don't get a medal for it, but if your desire is to serve the nation in a major way, then your party should make appeals on your behalf to help you find opportunities that suit your particular skill and interests. It's not easy to break into Cabinet positions, but it has happened. For myself, personally, The Federalists appealed to POTUS candidates on my behalf and sang my praises to important people. As a result, I was made Chief of Staff to the President while never having actually served in Congress before. My only experience was in the party, but the party is simply a smaller and more intimate version of what happens on the national level. They did that for me and I have done that for so many of them. That's what supporting your party means.

Transparency/Integrity- A party needs leadership, but a party isn't JUST leadership. The difference between me and any other Fed is that I'm an admin on the forum. Other than that, there isn't much practical difference. So many young players have joined the Feds recently, seen what we have going on and immediately wanted to get involved. They have come up with some great ideas and are being given the chance to execute these ideas with the help of seasoned party members.

If they hadn't been able to see what was going on, they wouldn't have been inspired with ideas and they wouldn't know how to get involved. Some members have obviously earned special favor because of their massive contributions, but that succession of great Feds should never end. This is a meritocracy. Being transparent and letting all of the party members 'in' on what the party is doing actually makes it easier for potentially great Feds to get noticed and start moving up. The Party benefits from their contributions and excitement and they benefit from the party support.

Additionally, being 'transparent' helps us to maintain our integrity. Our members hold the entire party accountable. It doesn't matter if you've been there a month or two or a year or two, any Fed can take any other Fed to task for being ethically fuzzy and it WILL be settled. We want to be above reproach, so if something doesn't cut the mustard with our members, it will never see the light of day.

Country > Party > You > All else- We put the needs of this nation ahead of our own interests so often that we are bashed for it. From the outside, it looks like the Feds are terrible at elections and suck at getting people into Congress. From the inside, it looks like the Feds are amazing at defending this nation against PTOs and are keenly focused on security. We are disregarded by many, many people in this game. They don't see our strength because it's not flashy. It doesn't produce medals, it produces pride. The kind of pride that makes you horny.

We are able to do this as a party because our members recognize that while they are individuals, they are FEDS when it counts. We work as a team. What we do, we do for the party because we trust that what the party does is for the nation. That makes me better than you. I won't throw it in your face. I don't need to convince you that I am better than you. But I am a Fed, and you're not. I think deep down we both know what that means. Or maybe you don't...but I do. Good enough.

The changes in the game just made Political Parties insanely powerful and important. Had this change happened a couple years ago, I'd be bursting out of my skin with delight. Feds have always seen the power of parties and that is why we take this so seriously. Unfortunately we face so many threats, it's hard to get excited at the moment. But should we defeat these enemies and protect ourselves from these takeovers, I want to view this change as an opportunity for the Top 5 parties in the eUS to reach their real potential. I know it can be done because Feds have done it.

So that, children, is what p/h is all about.

A ginormous 'thank you' to everyone who is supporting the Feds and helping to keep us in the Top 5! We serve this nation gladly and because of your assistance, we can continue to do so.
